Abstract

350,798. Stands. HOWITT, A. G., HOWITT, A. G. and HOWITT, J. A., Alfred Street Mills, Nottingham. Aug. 1, 1930, No. 23165. [Class 52 (v).] A collapsable showcard comprises a front member 1, preferably shaped to represent a cylindrical container, and spaced rear members 2 which are adapted to be drawn together by lacing 4 in order to cause the member 1 to take up a curved formation. As shown, the members 2 constitute rear-side flanges of the front portion 1, and the lacing 4 is passed through eyelets 3 in their edges. Struts 5 are provided at the rear of the device, and these are preferably formed from a single piece of card, the centre portion 5c of which is attached to the member 1 bv an adhesive or otherwise. The lacing 4. is tightened by raising the upper portion 4a, which is then looped over the notches 6 in the struts 5, thereby also serving to keep them in position. Additional clipping means may be provided if necessary for keeping the struts extended.
