Description

The present invention relates to the technical field of packaging and packaging of various products in a case formed by folding a pre-cut blank of cardboard or the like.

The cases used generally have a substantially parallelepipedal shape which, if it is able to contain the product to be packaged, is not always likely to provide the latter with sufficient cushioning to preserve its integrity.

In order to take account of the particular shape of the contents, the holster must therefore include an internal cushioning structure which then defines a housing for the product to be packaged.

This is, for example, the case for the packaging of a tube made from a sheath made of deformable material and closed by the bottom, so that the tube has, at its mouth, a substantially cylindrical shape that will by flattening to present a shape at the opposite substantially prismatic end. Indeed, to ensure an effective wedging of such a tube, it is necessary to have a reception housing, corner-shaped or prism.

The presence of corner dwellings may also be useful for packaging, for example, bagged products that have one end thicker than the other.

In order to meet this need, US Pat. No. 3,370,776 and Utility Model DE 29,902,027 both proposed a packaging case made from a pre-cut blank of compact cardboard. The packaging case is foldably mounted to include a hinged peripheral wrapper for forming a substantially parallelepiped holster body, flaps and closure flaps of the transverse ends of the body. The case also comprises an internal wedging structure forming a foldable and counter-fixable extension of an articulated panel and comprising a connecting strip, a median panel and a counter-panel, delimited and articulated to each other by lines of folding oriented so that the median panel extends diagonally in the body of case and defines two substantially wedge-shaped compartments.

According to these two documents, the connecting strip and the counter-panel are articulated on two diametrically opposite parts of the median panel, so that the connecting strip and the back panel are folded in two opposite directions to be each arranged in a compartment, wedge-shaped, separate.

The way of producing the packaging case according to the prior art does not make it possible to obtain a median panel of exactly rectangular shape and one of the angles of the median panel is truncated so that the two corner compartments communicate by an opening not occupied by the median panel.

However, the presence of this opening is unsightly and detrimental to the partitioning function of the median panel.

In order to remedy this drawback, it thus appeared the need to have a packaging case whose structure makes it possible to obtain a median panel of exactly rectangular shape so as to partition the case into two corner compartments which do not communicate. not between them.

To achieve this objective, the invention relates to a packaging case, of the type made from a pre-cut blank and mounted by folding to include:
  • a peripheral envelope with articulated panels intended to form a case body, flaps and closure flaps of the transverse ends of the case body,
  • and an internal wedging structure forming a foldable and counter-fixable extension of an articulated panel and comprising a binding strip, a median panel and a backboard delimited and articulated together by fold lines oriented so that the panel median extends diagonally in the body of case and defines two compartments substantially shaped wedges.

According to the invention, this case is characterized in that the median panel is connected to the connecting strip by a hinge band pleated against the connecting strip.

The invention also aims, for the realization of the case, a pre-cut blank comprising, on the one hand, a first part, called envelope, composed of four panels articulated one after the other by lines of parallel folding, some of said panels being extended at the end by flaps foldable, while others are provided with closure flaps of the case body formed by said panels and, secondly, a second part, called internal rigging, which comprises:
  • a connecting strip connected to the last hinged panel, by a fold line parallel to that separating the last hinged panel from the adjacent panel, and intended to provide a fastening surface for the first panel, to form the holster body,
  • a hinge strip connected to the connecting strip by a fold line forming an angle α with the fold line separating the connecting strip of the hinged panel,
  • a median panel and a cons-panel which extend from the hinge strip being delimited by two fold lines, parallel to each other, the counter-panel having, opposite the fold line, a bearing edge substantially converging with the fold line separating the panel against the center panel in the same direction as that in which the folding lines converge between, on the one hand, the last hinged panel and the connecting strip and, on the other hand, the connecting strip and the hinge strip.

According to another characteristic of the invention, the median panel has an exactly rectangular shape.

1 à 3 rappellent, de manière détaillée, l'enseignement des documents US 3 370 776 et DE 29 902 027.In order to better understand the contribution of the invention with respect to the prior art, FIGS . 1 to 3 recall, in detail, the teaching of US 3,370,776 and DE 29,902,027.

As is apparent from FIG. 1 , the pre-cut blank, for making by folding a case according to the prior art, comprises a first part A , called the peripheral envelope, which comprises four panels 1, 2, 3, 4 hinged one after the other others by parallel fold lines 5, 6, 7 . Some panels, 1 and 3 , are extended at the end by foldable flaps 8 , while the other two panels, 2 and 4 , are each provided with a closure flap of the transverse ends of the case body 10 and 11 , respectively high and low.

The pre-cut blank also comprises a second part B , called internal blocking, consisting in particular of a connecting strip 12 connected to the last hinged panel 4 by a fold line 13 parallel to that 7 separating the last panel 4 from the adjacent panel 3 . This connecting strip is intended to provide a fastening surface for the first panel 1 , to form the case body, as shown in FIG. 2 . The internal locking portion B also comprises a median panel 15 and a counter panel 16 which extend, from the connecting strip, being delimited by two fold lines 17 and 18 , parallel to one another and forming an angle with the fold line 13 . The counter-panel 16 has a bearing edge 19 intended to be placed in the angle defined by the fold line 6 .

It should be noted that, in view of the relative disposition of the medial panel 15 and the connecting strip 12 , the angle of the medial panel 15 located on the side of the connecting strip 12 is truncated so that the median panel 15 does not have an exactly rectangular shape.

It appears more particularly from FIG. 1 , that the fold lines 17 and 18 are diametrically opposed with respect to the medial panel 15 , so that the counter-panel 16 and the connecting strip 12 are connected to opposite parts, respectively low and high, of the median panel 15 . Similarly, it appears that the fold lines 13 and 17 converge downwards, while the edge 19 and the line 18 converge towards the top of the case.

Given the orientation of the folding lines 17 and 18 , the middle panel 15 extends, when the case is mounted, as shown in FIG. 2 , diagonally in the case body E formed from the portion A of the precut blank. The median panel 15 then delimits two compartments 20, 21 substantially shaped wedge or prism.

However, given the shape of the medial panel 15 , the corner C of one of the compartments is open on the other compartment so that the two compartments communicate. In addition, this opening C is unsightly when opening the case E.

The invention therefore aims to remedy these drawbacks by proposing, in particular, to fit, inside the case, two corner compartments perfectly cloisonné.

To this end, according to a first embodiment, the case according to the invention is made from a pre-cut blank, generally designated by the reference 30 and illustrated in FIG. 4 on which the edges and cutting lines are shown in solid lines, while the fold lines are illustrated in phantom. The blank 30 can be made of any suitable material and, preferably but not exclusively, compact cardboard.

The pre-cut blank 30 comprises a first part I , called the peripheral envelope, intended to form, by folding, the body of the case. This first part I comprises, in particular, four panels 31, 32, 33, 34 articulated, one after the other, by parallel fold lines 35, 36, 37 . Some panels, 31 and 33 , are extended at the end by foldable flaps 38, while the other two panels, 32 and 34 , are each provided with a closure flap 40 and 41 of the ends of the case body, respectively high and bass.

La bande de liaison 42 est reliée au dernier panneau 34 par une ligne de pliage 43 parallèle à celle 37 séparant le dernier panneau 34 du panneau adjacent 33.The blank 30 also comprises a second part II , called internal blocking structure, which consists, in particular, of a connecting strip 42 extending in the extension of the last hinged panel 34 . The connecting strip 42 is connected to the last panel 34 by a fold line 43 parallel to that 37 separating the last panel 34 from the adjacent panel 33 .

The internal structure portion II also comprises a hinge strip 44 connecting the connecting strip 42 to a median panel 45 . The hinge strip 44 is separated from the connecting strip 42 by a fold line 46 which forms with the folding line 43 an angle α converging towards a so-called bottom end of the case or blank 30 . Moreover, the hinge strip 44 is separated from the medial panel 45 by a fold line 47 . According to the illustrated example, the hinge strip 44 extends only over a portion of the height of the connecting strip 42 and the median panel 45 , at the bottom of the latter which are then separated at the top by a "U" notch 48 .

1 et 4.The middle panel has, opposite the hinge band 44 , a counter-panel 49 which is separated from the medial panel 45 by a fold line 50 , parallel to the fold line 47 between the median panel 45 of the hinge band. Preferably, but not strictly necessary, the fold line 47 is parallel to the fold line 43 . Moreover, it must be emphasized that, according to a feature of the invention, the medial panel 45 has a rectangular shape and none of its corners are truncated. This difference between the invention and the prior art is clear from the comparative analysis of FIGS. 1 and 4 .

The shaping of the case according to the invention, starting from the blank 30 , is carried out for example, by successive and alternating folding, along the lines 46 , 47 and 50 , of the part II of the blank in respectively , the direction of the arrows F 1 , F 2 and F 3 . During this folding, the hinge strip 44 is folded against the inner face of the connecting strip 42 . Preferably but not strictly necessary, the hinge strip 44 is then counter-fixed on the connecting strip 42 by any appropriate means and preferably by gluing. The mounting of the case continues with a successive folding along the lines 35, 36, 37 and 43 of the part I of the peripheral envelope, so as to fix the first hinged panel 31 against the connecting strip 42 by any suitable means, such as, for example, by gluing.

Against the panel 49 has, opposite the line 50 , a bearing edge 51 which is placed in the angle defined by the fold line 37 . It should be noted that the edge 51 defines with the fold line 50 an angle β which corresponds to the inclination of the medial panel 45 inside the case body defined by the articulated panels 31 to 34. In addition, the fold line 50 and the support edge 51 converge towards the so-called lower part of the holster.

Après montage, la bande de liaison 42 se trouve contre le premier panneau 31, tandis que le contre-panneau 49 se trouve contre le troisième panneau 33.After assembly, the connecting strip 42 is against the first panel 31 , while the counter panel 49 is against the third panel 33 .

The case thus formed is illustrated in perspective in FIG. 5 and in section in FIGS. 6 and 7 . It appears from fig. 5 that the medial panel 45 extends diagonally in the case body. The position of the medial panel 45 is clearly shown in FIG. 6 and it appears that the inclination of the panel 45 defines, in the case body, two compartments 52 and 53 of substantially prismatic or wedge shape.

In addition, the exactly rectangular shape of the median panel makes it possible to perfectly partition and separate the two compartments 52 and 53 . It should be noted that preferably the median panel 45 has a length sufficient to extending into the case from the lower edge 54 of the last articulated panel 34 to the upper edge 55 of the second hinged panel 32 .

When the object intended to be packaged in one of the compartments 52, 53 of the case is curved, the medial panel 45 preferably has two slots 56 arranged in a cross to allow the adaptation of the median panel 45 and the compartment 52 to the shape of the object. According to the invention one or more cuts could also be made in the median panel to define one or more cushioning cells of packaged products.

According to a preferred but not strictly necessary feature of the invention, the median panel 45 has, at its lower end, an articulated holding tab 57 intended to bear on the inner face of the hinged panel 32 located opposite the the lower end of the middle panel 45 ..

To this end, the holding lug 57 extends from a fold line 58 perpendicular to the folding lines 47 and 50 and has, opposite the line 58, a bearing edge 59 parallel to the latter. .

During the shaping of the case, and before closing the bottom of the latter, the holding lug 57 is folded towards the inside of the case so as to place the edge 59 bearing against the inner face of the second hinged panel 32 . The use of the retaining tab 57 advantageously reinforces the tip of the compartment 52 by preventing the lower end of the medial panel 45 from moving away from the hinged panel 34 when an object is inserted into the compartment 52 .

Figs. 8 and 9 illustrate another embodiment of the case according to the invention, according to which, the blank 30 , constituting the case, has the same elements as those described in relation with FIG. 4 , the median panel 45 does not however have a retaining tab in the lower part.

La contre-patte de renfort 70 définit à l'opposé de la ligne 71 un bord d'appui 72.This other embodiment differs from that illustrated in FIG. 4 in that the counter-panel 49 has, opposite the middle panel 45 , a reinforcement counter-lug 70 which is separated from the counter-panel 49 by a fold line 71 parallel to the support edge 51 and located in the extension of the latter. The fold line 71 then realizes, with the fold line 50 , an angle β. The reinforcing counter-lug 70 is preferably connected to the counter panel 49 at the bottom of this last, towards the point of convergence of fold lines 50 and 71 . The counter-reinforcement lug 70 defines, opposite the line 71, a bearing edge 72 .

The pre-cut blank thus formed is shaped in substantially the same manner as has been described with reference to FIG. 4 , so as to constitute the case according to the invention. During this shaping, the counter-reinforcement lug 70 is folded against the panel 49 by the formation of the fold line 71 . This last folding is performed so that, after shaping the case, as shown in FIG. 12, against the lug-reinforcement 70 is pressed against the hinged panel 33 and its edge 72 bears against the panel 32 in the angle formed by the fold line 36.

Thus, the counter-tab 70 reinforces the lower part of the compartment 52 and the triangular faces corresponding to the panels 33 of the compartment 53 . In addition, the counter-tab 70 thus immobilizes and wedges the counter panel 49 contributing to the correct positioning of the median panel 45 .

Figs. 10 to 12 illustrate another embodiment of the case according to the invention according to which the blank 30 constituting the case has the same elements as those described in relation with FIG. 4 the median panel, however, does not have a bracket at the bottom.

Il doit être remarqué que la ligne de pliage 80 contribue à délimiter le bord inférieur du troisième panneau articulé 33.To ensure a reinforcement of the tip of the corner corresponding to the bottom of the compartment 52 , the blank 30 further has a foldable extension III intended to form an internal reinforcement structure. According to the example illustrated in FIG. 10 , the reinforcing extension III extends in the lower part of the third hinged panel 33 from a fold line 80 perpendicular to the fold lines 36 and 37 . The reinforcement extension III then comprises two flaps 81 and 82 separated by a fold line 83 parallel to the fold line 80 . It should be noted that the fold line 80 contributes to delimiting the lower edge of the third hinged panel 33 .

The shaping of the case from the blank 30 , thus formed, is performed substantially similar to that described in relation to FIG. 4 . When closing the bottom of the case, the folding extension III is brought towards the inside of the case so as to interpose the second flap 82 between the middle panel 45 and the inner face of the second hinged panel 32 as it is spring figs. 11 and 12 . The second flap 82 then has a width sufficient to be in support standing on the medial panel 45 and the hinged panel 32 , so as to wedge the medial panel 45 . This advantageous arrangement of the invention thus makes it possible to reinforce the lower corner of the first compartment 52 so as to prevent the bottom of the median panel 45 from moving away from the fourth hinged panel 34 when an object is inserted into the compartment 52 .

Figs. 13 to 15 illustrate an alternative embodiment of the case according to the invention as described with reference to FIGS. 10 to 12 .

According to this variant embodiment, the folding extension III extends from the fold line 80 delimiting the edge of the third hinged panel 33 , and comprises three hinged bands 85, 86 and 87 delimited by folding lines 88 and 89. parallel to the first fold line 80 . The extreme hinged band 87 further has, opposite the hinged panel 33 , a counter-securing strip 90 separated from the end hinged band 87 by a fold line 91 parallel to the fold lines 80, 88 and 89 . The shaping of the case from the pre-cut blank thus formed is carried out as follows.

Before folding parts I and II of the blank, as described above, the reinforcing extension III is folded over the inner face of the third hinged panel 33 , the counter-fixing strip 90 then being fixed thereto by any appropriate means and, preferably by gluing. During this operation, the various fold lines 88, 89 and 91 are marked to allow subsequent shaping of the reinforcement III , as will appear later. After complete shaping of the case body and when it is desired to proceed to the closure of the bottom of the latter, the extension III is folded inside the case, so as to interpose said extension III between the middle panel 45 and the inner face of the second hinged panel 32 , as shown in FIG. 14. During this installation, the hinged strips 85 and 87 extend substantially parallel to the bottom of the holster and perpendicular to the hinged panels 31 to 34 and the intermediate hinged strip 86 extends substantially vertically, as shown in FIG. fig. 4 . After placing the reinforcement structure III and folding the flap 38 , the flap 41 can be closed. It should be noted that, to ensure a good wedging of the lower part of the median panel 45 , the extreme hinged band 87 then has a width substantially equal to the distance between the inner face of the second hinged panel 32 of the face facing the median panel 45 .

Thus, the reinforcing structure 45 prevents the lower portion of the medial panel 45 from moving away from the last hinged panel 34 upon insertion of an object into the first corner compartment 52 .

The invention is not limited to the examples described and shown, since various modifications can be made without departing from the scope of the claims.
