Abstract

The package is produced by folding a precut blank consisting of side panels (31 - 34) with closure flaps (40, 41) and tabs (38). An internal locking structure which is made up of two panels (45, 46) is connected to the main structure by a triangular strip (42) can be folded to produce a partition which divides the package diagonally into two compartments. This has reinforcing components (57) at the bottom. An Independent claim is included for the blank.

Description

The present invention relates to the technical field of packaging and packaging of various products in a case formed by folding a blank pre-cut from cardboard or the like.

The cases used generally have a substantially shaped parallelepipedic which, if it is able to contain the product to be packaged, is not not always likely to provide the latter with sufficient wedging to preserve it integrity.

In order to take into account the particular shape of the container, the case must therefore understand an internal wedging structure which then defines a reception accommodation for the product to be packaged.

This is, for example, the case for the packaging of a tube produced at from a sheath of deformable material and closed at the bottom, so that the tube has, at its mouth, a substantially cylindrical shape which goes flattening to present at the opposite end a substantially prismatic shape. Indeed, to ensure an effective wedging of such a tube, it is necessary to have a corner or prism-shaped accommodation unit.

The presence of corner housing can also be useful for the packaging, for example, of products in sachets which have one end thicker than the other.

In order to meet this need, US Pat. No. 3,370,776 and the utility model DE 299 02 027 both proposed a packaging case made from a blank precut from compact cardboard. This packaging case is mounted by folding to include a peripheral envelope with hinged panels intended to form a body of substantially parallelepipedic case, flaps and flaps closing the transverse ends of the body. The case also includes an internal structure wedging forming a folding and counter-fixed extension and comprising a connecting strip, a middle panel and a counter panel, delimited and articulated between them by fold lines oriented so that the middle panel extends in diagonal in the case body and delimits two substantially shaped compartments corners.

According to these two documents, the connecting strip and the counter-panel are articulated on two opposite parts of the middle panel, so that the strip of connection and the counter-panel are folded in two opposite directions to each be arranged in a separate compartment.

However, it appeared, in use, that such a case did not always present a optimal resistance to crushing under the effect of a force exerted perpendicularly the large sides of the case.

The prior art thus knows the teaching provided by the patent US 2,893,623, according to which the extension, mentioned above, comprises a connecting strip and a counter panel which are oriented in the same direction and in the same direction with respect to the middle panel so as to be both, after folding, oriented in the same direction in order to reinforce the resistance to the crushing of one of the compartments.

Such a construction is satisfactory in this respect, but it fishes by a failure to reinforce the bottom of the reinforced compartment and / or the compartment opposite.

In order to remedy this drawback, it therefore appeared the need to have a packaging case, of the above type, which has qualities of resistance to crushing reinforced and which, more particularly, offers, for one to less of its wedge-shaped compartments, resistance to crushing optimal, in line with its substance, so as to define, within the case, a reinforced compartment particularly resistant to crushing.

To achieve this objective, the invention relates to a case of packaging according to claim 1, produced from a pre-cut blank and mounted by folding.

The invention also relates to a precut blank according to claim 12 for the production of the case above.

Various other characteristics emerge from the description made below with reference to the accompanying drawings which show, by way of examples not limiting, embodiments of the subject of the invention.

According to a first embodiment, the case according to the invention is produced from a precut blank, generally designated by the reference 30 and illustrated in FIG. 1 in which the cutting lines are shown in solid lines, while the fold lines are shown in phantom. The blank 30 can be made of any suitable material and preferably, but not exclusively, of compact cardboard.

1.The precut blank 30 comprises a first part I , called the peripheral envelope, intended to form, by folding, the body of the case. This first part I comprises, in particular, four panels 31 to 34 articulated, one after the other, by parallel fold lines 35 to 37 . The panels, 31 and 33 , are extended at the end by folding flaps 38 , while the other two panels, 32 and 34 , are each provided with a closing flap 40 and 41 of the ends of the case body, respectively high and low in consideration of the orientation of fig. 1 .

The blank 30 also includes a second part II , called an internal wedging structure, which is made up, in particular, of a connecting strip 42 extending in the extension of the last articulated panel 34 . The connecting strip 42 is connected to the last panel 34 by a fold line 43 parallel to that 37 separating the last panel 34 from the adjacent panel 33.

The internal structural part II also includes a middle panel 45 and a counter panel 46 which extend from the connecting strip 42 , being delimited by two fold lines 47 and 48 parallel to each other. The two fold lines 47 and 48 also form an angle of value α with the fold line 43 .

La ligne 48 s'étend sur toute la longueur du panneau 45, tandis que la ligne 47 aboutit à une découpe 47a séparant en partie basse ledit panneau de la bande 42.Line 48 extends over the entire length of panel 45 , while line 47 leads to a cutout 47a separating said panel from the strip 42 at the bottom .

Thus, the connecting strip 42 and the counter panel 46 extend in the same direction from the upper end of the extension II , being, in the example illustrated, both extended beyond the transverse edge 49 of the panel median.

Shaping of the case according to the invention, from the blank 30 , is carried out by successive folding, along lines 47 and 48, of part II of the blank in, respectively, the direction of the arrows F 1 and F 2 , then by successively folding along the lines 35, 36, 37 and 43 of the part I of the peripheral envelope, so as to fix the first articulated panel 31 against the connecting strip 42 by any appropriate means, such as, for example, by bonding.

La valeur α de cet angle, correspond à l'inclinaison du panneau médian 45 à l'intérieur du corps d'étui défini par les panneaux articulés 31, 32, 33 et 34.Against the panel 46 has, opposite the line 48 , a bearing edge 50 which is placed in the angle defined by the fold line 37 . It should be noted that the edge 50 defines, with the fold line 48, an angle of the same value α as that of the angle defined by the fold lines 47 and 43. The value α of this angle corresponds to the inclination of the middle panel 45 inside the case body defined by the articulated panels 31, 32, 33 and 34 .

In addition, according to the invention, the fold line 48 and the support edge 50 converge downwards, just like the fold lines 43 and 47 . According to the example illustrated, the counter panel 46 extends to the lower part of the middle panel. However, the counter-panel 46 could only interest a part of the middle panel 45 by being, preferably but not exclusively, linked to the upper part of the latter.

Après montage, la bande de liaison 42 se trouve contre le premier panneau 31, tandis que le contre-panneau 46 se trouve contre le troisième panneau 33.After assembly, the connecting strip 42 is located against the first panel 31 , while the counter panel 46 is located against the third panel 33 .

The case thus formed is illustrated in perspective in FIG. 2 from which it appears that the middle panel 45 extends diagonally in the case body. The inclined position of the middle panel 45 , shown clearly in FIG. 3 , defines, in the case body, a first compartment 51 and a second compartment 52 of substantially prismatic shape or at a corner opposite one another.

Fig. 4 shows that, according to the invention, the connecting strip 42 and the counter panel 46 are oriented in the same direction and the same direction relative to the median panel and are both arranged in the corner compartment 51 to reinforce it against the pressures according to arrows F 3 and F 4 .

According to another characteristic of the invention, the median panel 45 has, at its lower end, a lug 57 for fixing against the internal face of the last articulated panel 34 .

2.Preferably, this fixing lug 57 is connected to the middle panel 45 by an articulation band 58 defined by two fold lines 59 and 60 , not parallel to each other and converging in the direction of the connecting band 42 . Lines 59 and 60 advantageously define an angle α 'of the same value as the angle α. This articulation band 58 makes it possible to define a sort of bellows which allows a flat presentation of the preformed case, the tab 57 being fixed against the last panel 34 and the first panel 31 being fixed on the connecting band 42 . The articulation band 58 , forming a bellows, allows, in effect, a displacement of the internal wedging structure during the passage from this preformed state flat to the final state of the case, as illustrated in FIG. 2 .

According to the example illustrated, the tab 57 is fixed to the panel 34 while being oriented downwards, but it could also be envisaged to fix this tab 57 so that it is oriented towards the top of the case and located in compartment 51 . Such an upward orientation is particularly preferred in the case of automating the mounting of the case.

Figs. 5 to 7 illustrate an alternative embodiment of the case according to the invention, according to which the blank 30 comprises closing flaps 40 and 41 which are arranged in the extension of the same articulated panel 32 .

6.Furthermore, the upper edge 61 of the connecting strip 42 , the upper edge 62 of the middle panel 45 and the upper edge 63 of the counter panel 46 are located in the extension of each other, so that after formation of the 'case, the upper edges 61, 62 and 63 are located substantially at the same level, as shown more particularly in FIG. 6 .

According to this variant, the middle panel 45 has a cutout 64 which defines an immobilization imprint or a cell for receiving a unitary conditioned product 65 , such as, for example, a bottle which is then placed, both in the two corner compartments 51, 52 .

Preferably, the cutout 64 defines a foldable flap 66 , articulated by a fold line 67 on the middle panel 45 . The folding flap has in its middle part a broken cutting line 68 which defines a tab 69 bordered by two half-fold lines 69 1 aligned with which it divides the flap 66 into two parts 66a and 66b . During the shaping of the case, the part 66b is placed in abutment, or even fixed on the panel 32 while the part 66a defines a support for the product 65 placed in the cell, so as to maintain said product 65 away from the bottom flap of the case, as shown in fig. 7 and at the same time constitutes a means of replacing the bottom of the compartment 51.

Figs. 8 and 9 illustrate another embodiment according to which the counter panel 46 has, opposite the median panel 45 , a reinforcing lug 70 which is separated from the counter panel 46 by a fold line 71 parallel to the support edge 50 and located in the extension of the latter. The fold line 71 then defines, with the fold line 48, an angle α. The reinforcing lug 70 is preferably connected to the counter panel 46 in the lower part of the latter, towards the point of convergence of the fold lines 48 and 71 . The reinforcing lug 70 defines a support edge 72 parallel to the support edge 50 . The function of this support edge 72 will appear later.

In order to provide reinforcement for the corner point corresponding to the bottom of the compartment 51, the blank 30 also has a folding extension III intended to constitute an internal reinforcement structure. According to the example illustrated in FIG. 8, the reinforcement extension III extends in the lower part of the last articulated panel 34, from a fold line 73 perpendicular to the fold lines 37 and 43 . The reinforcement extension III then comprises, from the fold line 73 , a lamination strip 74 and a reinforcement flap 75 separated from the lamination strip 74 by a fold line 76 parallel to the line of folding 73.

The precut blank, thus formed, is shaped as said above so as to constitute the case according to the invention. After the fold lines 43, 47 and 48 have been formed, the reinforcement extension III is folded down and the lamination strip 74 is glued against the internal face of the last articulated panel 34 . The reinforcing lug 70 is folded down on the counter panel 46, by the formation of the line 71 , the folding of which is carried out so that, after the shaping of the case, as illustrated in FIG. 9 , the reinforcing lug 70 is pressed against the articulated panel 33 and its edge 72 is in abutment against the panel 32 in the angle formed by the fold line 36 .

Thus, the lug 70 reinforces the lower part of the compartment 51 and the triangular faces corresponding to the panels 31 and 33 of the compartment 52 . In addition, the lug 70 thus ensures immobilization and wedging of the counter panel 46 contributing to the correct positioning of the middle panel 45 .

9. In the closed position of the case, the reinforcing flap 75 is then applied against the middle panel 45 , as shown in FIG. 9 .

Thus, the lamination strip 74 and the reinforcing flap 75 , pressed against the middle panel 45 , ensure that the bottom of the compartment 51 is closed and reinforce the resistance of the latter.

The implementation of the reinforcement extension III and the reinforcement lug 70 contribute to ensuring very good resistance of the compartment 51, so as to adequately protect a product 77 in the form of a wedge, such as for example a tube which would be introduced. The case, thus produced, has very good impact and drop resistance. Indeed, the lamination strip 74 and the reinforcement flap 75 , as well as the reinforcement lug 70 , prevent the tip of the product 77 from being thrown against the bottom of the case and damaged.

The use of the reinforcement extension III and of the reinforcement lug 70 advantageously offer good impact resistance of the corner part defining the bottom of the compartment 51 .

Les fig. 10 à 12 illustrent une autre variante de réalisation. Figs. 10 to 12 illustrate another alternative embodiment.

This flap has a support tab 79 which extends from a fold line 80 substantially parallel to the fold line 43 and perpendicular to the fold line 73. The support tab 79 then has an edge d support 81 parallel to support edges 50 and 72 . The bearing edge 81 defines, with the fold line 80, an angle α.

During the shaping of the case, in accordance with the folding and gluing sequences presented above, the flap 78 is folded against the panel 45 and the fold line 80 is formed so that, during the shaping of the case, the support tab 79 is placed against the articulated panel 31 and the edge 81 bears against the panel 32 at the angle defined by the fold line 35 . By this arrangement, the lower part of the median panel 45 , forming the corner defining the bottom of the compartment 51, is perfectly wedged, on the one hand, by the reinforcement extension III thus formed and, on the other hand, against reinforcement tab 70 which immobilizes the counter panel 46 and therefore the middle panel 45 .

This advantageous arrangement of the invention then makes it possible to ensure good mechanical strength of the tip of the compartment 51 and therefore good protection of a packaged product which would be placed there.

Figs. 13 to 16 illustrate other alternative embodiments of the case according to the invention according to which the retention of the tip of the compartment 51 is carried out by a retaining tab 85 extending at the level of the lower end of the middle panel 45 , from a fold line 86 perpendicular to the line 48 . As shown more particularly in FIGS. 14 and 16 , the retaining tab 85 is intended, during the shaping of the case, to come into abutment, by its edge 87 opposite the fold line 86 , against the panel 32 so as to prevent excessive separation important, relative to the panel 34 , from the bottom of the middle panel 45 , at the point of the compartment 51 .
