DISPOSITIF DE MISE EN VOLUME AUTOMATIQUE DESTINE A UN SUPPORT
DE PRESENTATION D'INFORMATIONS ET SUPPORT DE PRESENTATION
D'INFORMATIONS
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>

AUTOMATIC VOLUME DEVICE FOR A SUPPORT
FOR INFORMATION PRESENTATION AND PRESENTATION MEDIA
INFORMATION
The invention relates to an automatic volume setting device for an information presentation medium.
It also relates to the medium for presenting information.
To present information of the advertising or other type, it is known to use flat supports.
These supports can be hung on a wall or resting on the ground using a stand.
These presentation supports or totem resting on the ground are very interesting because they are less restrictive than the others and allow, for example, to use the two faces of the support.
Instead of using a flat face, it is known to use a curved sheet of cardboard which is more interesting visually.
To maintain this face of curved cardboard, one of the so-called rear faces carries a flap along its edges. Elastics whose ends are hung on the flaps exert a force causing the edges to come together.
By determining the length of the elastics and their strength, we can elastically bend a side of cardboard.
However, we note that the geometry obtained depends on many parameters in the sense that the elastic bands do not always have the same force.
We also note that at the point of attachment of the elastic on the cardboard, a tear occurs quite often.
For transport, the support can be sent flat and then shaped by the user.
These supports must therefore be leaned against a wall so as to conceal the elastic bands.
We regret that only one side is usable.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
The problems posed by manufacturers and users are of several types.
The first problem is to reduce the size for transport.
The second problem is to make the support very easy to assemble, that is to say an automatic volume setting. The solution is then much less obvious.
The third parameter is to ensure good stability on the ground but always with a view to respecting the above criteria.
The fourth point is that which is more specific to the manufacturer, namely being able to produce this support at a reasonable cost.
It is also preferable that both sides of the totem can receive an impression and that the aesthetics on the front and back are correct.
Such an equation then becomes very difficult to solve.
The invention proposes to provide solutions to the problems mentioned above.
To this end, the invention relates to a device for setting volume intended for a tubular information presentation support comprising at least one tension element exerting a force between two points, this device being characterized in that the device for setting in volume: - on the one hand, is a tube delimited by four flat and rigid faces housing a tab which, fixed on the inside face of the tube, extends according to one of the two diagonals of said tube, this tab having in its free end a stop, - on the other hand the action of the tension element is exerted parallel to the plane containing the aforementioned tab.
The invention will be clearly understood with the aid of the description below given by way of example with regard to the drawing which schematically represents: - Figure 1: a volume presentation support, - Figure 2: a view along F of Figure 1, - Figure 3: a perspective detail of an element of Figure 2, - Figure 4: the development of an element of Figure 2, - Figure 5: a side view of the element of Figure 4 after assembly, - Figure 6: Figure 5 seen along G, - Figure 7: Figure 6 flat.
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
Referring to the drawing, we see a support 1 for presenting tubular information also called totem.
This support is placed on a support surface.
To be easily transportable, this support is foldable so that it occupies a smaller volume.
To pass from its folded state to an unfolded state, use is made of a device 2 for setting volume.
This volume setting device comprises at least one tension element 3 exerting a force between two points.
The volume setting device: - on the one hand, is a tube 2A delimited by four flat and rigid faces 4 housing a tab 5 which, fixed on the inner face of the tube, extends along one of the two diagonals of said tube, this tab 5 having at its free end a stop 6, - on the other hand, the action of the tension element is exerted parallel to the plane containing the aforementioned tab.
Preferably, one of the ends called the base of the tube constituting the volume setting device has means 7 for receiving feet 8 projecting outwardly from said tube.
If the volume setting device can be independent of the information medium, the latter then fitting onto it, preferably, the volume setting device 2 is fixed inside the presentation medium.
To this end, in a particular embodiment, the external faces of the volume setting device have two flaps 9, each flap having a face 9A intended to be in contact with the internal face of the presentation support.
This flap 9 can be fixed by adhesive or any other means, such as a loop and hook system or a rivet.
This flap is located at the angle formed by two flat and rigid faces.
Preferably, this flap comes from the four-sided tube and, for this purpose, a cut 10 in U delimits the flap.
The length of the tab determines the geometry of the tube and therefore indirectly that of the display.
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
When the stop 6 carried by the tab 5 is pressed against the internal face of the tube, the tension element can continue to exert a large force without modifying the geometry.
To attach the tension element, this is done: - on the one hand on the tab and - on the other hand on the tube.
For this, for example, the tube has a reduction 11 in the width of the strip forming the tube at the point of attachment and the tab has a U-shaped cutout 12 making it possible to create an anchor point formed by the delimited material. by cutting.
Two notches 11A in Vé make it possible to reduce the width of the strip.
For fixing the foot, there are provided at the base of the tube, vertical notches 7 for inserting the feet therein along an axis parallel to the longitudinal axis of the tube.
The base consists of blades 8, in particular polypropylene, but other materials are possible.
The advantage of polypropylene is that it is not sensitive to humidity.
In a preferred embodiment, the blades are grouped in pairs, linked together by a hinge 8A.
The foot consists of protruding blades. In the position of use of the support, after its setting in volume, the pairs of blades form, in top view, two vee.
Besides that they penetrate into the notches of the tube, these blades each carry a lug 13 oriented towards the inside of the tube so as to be able to be inserted in a window 14 presented by the presentation support.
Note: - that the blades have an inclined plane facilitating the positioning of the tubular element on the feet and moreover, - that this tubular element has, at the location of the blades, a cutout 15 in an arc .
This presentation support consists of a tubular element consisting of two faces so that, when the presentation support is set in volume, these faces bend and give an attractive aesthetic configuration.
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
In the developed view, a tongue 16 has been provided for the assembly by gluing of the volume setting device.
It is possible to provide on the information medium a system for placing volume at the top and at the bottom, or even in the intermediate position.
