Abstract

Safety binding device for ski boots on a snowboard, with synchronized release on both feet. It comprises two bindings I, II connected by a sheathed cable 6, 10. Each binding has: a plate 1 for holding it on IV, an anchoring for the tip of the sole 2, 3, 4, a support 5 for the heel. The cable 6 forms arches whose summit traverses a heelpiece 7 which bears, with leaning, against the rear lip (rim) of the heel, traverses a system III which has the functions of momentarily preventing sliding of the cable 6 when fitting the boot and of releasing the feet from IV when a boot exerts too great a force on 7. When one of the feet is subjected to a twisting moment exceeding an adjustable value, forces are induced on one of the stops 4 and the heelpiece 7, which results in pivoting of 4 and suppression of the leaning of 7, and the foot is thus released; the cable 6 is then relaxed and enables the other foot to be removed from its binding.

Elle a pour objet une serie de modifications visant å ameliorer:
- le déclenchement de la sécurité dans le cas de chutes laterales sur l'avant et l'arrière du surf;
- le verrouillage du système (III) et son utilisation;
--le systeme de réglage de la position des supports (2,5) sur la plaque de liaison (1).
