La présente invention concerne les bicyclettes et analogues et plus précisément le réglage du guidon entre une position de course ou de sport et une position de promenade
ou d'utilisation générale.
Les bicyclettes légeres courantes, notamment cel-
les qui ont des transmissions à dix vitesses et qui sont destinées à la course, comportent des guidons partant d'une colonne de direction transversalement à la roue avant de
la bicyclette et se repliant finalement en direction pa-
rallèle à la roue avant, les poignées étant dirigées vers l'arrière. Le guidon a des extrémités libres de part et d'autre de la barre, portant les poignées au-dessous du
point de fixation des parties coudées à la barre transver-
sale, les extrémités libres se trouvant dans des plans ver-
ticaux sensiblement parallèles à la roue avant de la bicy-
clette. Cette configuration permet au cycliste de se cou-
cher en position ramassée, lorsqu'il court, et d'appliquer une force maximale aux pédales si bien que sa vitesse est optimale. Comme les poignées se trouvent au-dessous du point de fixation à la barre transversale cependant, cette bicyclette ne convient pas de façon générale à la randonnée ou aux promenades puisque le cycliste est plié et ne peut pas observer confortablement le paysage ou converser avec des compagnons. Les bicyclettes destinées à la promenade ont en général des poignées de guidon disposées dans des plans
horizontaux perpendiculaires à la roue avant dé la bicy-
clette, à une hauteur au moins égale à celle du point de
fixation du guidon à la colonne de direction de la bicyclette.
Bien qu'un utilisateur puisse posséder à la fois une bicyclette de course et une bicyclette de promenade afin qu'il soit équipé quelle que soit l'utilisation voulue,
cette manière de-procéder n'est pas économique et de nom-
breux inventeurs ont décrit des dispositifs de réglage du
guidon d'une bicyclette unique entre des positions de cour-
se et de promenade.
Les constructions les plus simples permettent la on rotation du guidon autour d'un axe perpendiculaire au plan de la roue avant de la bicyclette. Cette rotation est en général commode car la plupart des guidons sont fixés sur
la colonne de direction de la bicyclette par une pince ser-
rée qu'il suffit de desserrer pour permettre cette rotation, comme décrit par exemple dans le brevet des Etats-Unis d'Amérique n0 689 217. Les bicyclettes modernes de course et de promenade ont en général des freins commandés par des leviers de commande de câble et fixés aux extrémités libres du guidon. La rotation du guidon autour de l'axe de la pince de la colonne de direction inverse l'action des leviers de frein si bien qu'il existe un risque de serrage des freins par inadvertance, à moins que les leviers soient modifiés, comme décrit dans le brevet des Etats-Unis d'Amérique n0 3 803 937. D'autres inventions concernant le changement
dé la position des poignées du guidon afin que les bicy-
clettes puissent être repliées lors du transport, mettent en oeuvre la rotation et le démontage du guidon, toutesces
opérations étant peu commodes, longues et nécessitant l'uti-
lisation d'outils, comme décrit par exemple dans le brevet
des Etats-Unis d'Amérique n0 3 481 218.
Les brevets des Etats-Unis d'Amérique n0 575 746,
583 105 et 603 995 décrivent des dispositifs de réglage de.
la position des poignées d'un guidon de bicyclette par ro-
tation des barres autour d'axes sensiblement parallèles à la roue avant de la bicyclette et très près du cadre de
celle-ci. Bien que ces dispositifs permettent la solution-
du problème de l'inversion de l'action des leviers de frei-
nage, ils présentent tous un inconvénient car les distan-
ces comprises entre les parties latérales les unes par rapport aux autres et par rapport au cadre de la bicyclette
varient beaucoup avec la position horizontale des poignées.
Ainsi, dans la position de course, les parties latérales du
guidon peuvent être très écartées lorsque l'espacement ob-
tenu dans la position de promenade donne un bon confort.
D'autres guidons réglables récents mettent en oeu-
vre des articulations multiples complexes et/ou des éléments usinés de façon élaborée si bien que la modification d'une bicyclette existante est très coûteuse et/ou les réglages
des positions des poignées nécessitent des temps importants.
Le brevet des Etats-Unis d'Amérique n0 1 595 557 décrit une construction qui permet un réglage rapide de la position du
guidon à l'aide de mécanismes à cliquet repoussé élastique-
ment. Ces mécanismes nécessitent cependant des parties usi-
nées coûteuses et ne permettent pas une modification simple
du guidon existant permettant la mise en oeuvre dans le ca-
dre de l'invention. L'appareil décrit dans le brevet des Etats-Unis d'Amérique no 4 023 436 permet des variations importantes de l'emplacement des poignées du guidon, mais seulement au prix d'une modification coeteuse des guidons existants, notamment du fait du remplacement de la colonne
existante de direction par un support totalement différent.
En outre, mis à part éventuellement un réglage de l'angle des poignées du guidon par rapport à un organe vertical de support, le réglage du guidon décrit dans ce dernier brevet
prend beaucoup de temps et nécessite l'utilisation d'outils.
L'invention concerne donc un dispositif rapide et peu coûteux permettant le réglage du guidon d'une bicyclette
ou analogue entre des positions de course et de promenade.
Plus précisément, l'invention met en oeuvre un
accouplement ayant des organes coopérants pouvant être blo-
qués et débloqués, disposés à une articulation du guidon qui
se trouve à un endroit choisi qui, par rapport à l'emplace-
ment de fixation du guidon sur la colonne de direction de la bicyclette, est décalé vers l'extrémité libre ou les poignées. Les organes de l'accouplement peuvent être formés d'une matière convenable, par exemple d'un métal ou d'une matière thermoplastique, et ils sont fixés à un guidon
existant ou peuvent faire partie d'un guidon dès sa fa-
brication. Les organes de l'accouplement, lorsqu'ils sont en position débloquée, permettent la rotation de la poignée
autour d'un axe perpendiculaire à l'axe de la partie cen-
trale du guidon. Une position avantageuse de la poignée
est fixée sélectivement par serrage des organes de l'accou-
plement, en position bloquée. Les organes de l'accouplement -
lorsqu'ils sont-à l'état bloqué, permettent le maintien d'une position originale de course, d'une position de promenade, d'une position repliée ou de l'une de nombreuses positions intermédiaires ou dépliées.
D'autres caractéristiques et avantages de l'inven-
tion seront mieux compris à la lecture de la description qui
va suivre d'exemples de réalisation et en se référant aux dessins annexés sur lesquels: - la figure 1 est une élévation partielle d'une
bicyclette comprenant un appareil selon un mode de réalisa-
tion avantageux de l'invention; - la figure 2 est une perspective détaillée d'un accouplement selon un mode de réalisation avantageux de l'invention, disposé dans un guidon de bicyclette, - la figure 3 est une coupe suivant la ligne 3-3 de la figure 2 - la figure 4 est une perspective détaillée d'un autre mode de réalisation d'accouplement selon l'invention, formé dans un guidon et vu de dessous; - la figure 5 est une perspective détaillée d'un accouplement solidaire d'un guidon, dans un autre mode de réalisation de l'invention; - la figure 6 est une élévation latérale d'un mode de réalisation d'organe d'un accouplement placé dans uoepartie de guidon représentée en coupe partielle;
- la figure 7 est une coupe d'un autre mode de ré-
alisation de dispositif de serrage du type représenté sur la figure 3 et comportant en outre une butée; et - la figure 8 est une coupe.partielle d'un organe d'accouplement, d'une partie de guidon et d'un dispositif
de serrage, comportant un autre mode de réalisation de butée.
La figure 1 représente une partie d'une bicyclette du type à dix vitesses, ayant une colonne de direction 12 et un guidon 14. Celui-ci est habituellement formé en une seule pièce, mais, pour les raisons indiquées dans la suite du présent mémoire, il comprend trois parties dans ce mode
de réalisation: une partie centrale 16 et des parties op-
posées d'extrémité 18 et 20. Lorsque le guidon 14 est fixé
à la colonne de direction, les parties 18 et 20 d'extré-
mité comprennent des tronçons rectilignes 22, 24, perpen-
diculaires au plan de la roue avant de la bicyclette (non représentée), des parties coudées ou courbes 26, 28, et des
parties libres d'extrémité 30, 32 sur lesquelles sont mon-
tées des poignées 34. Les parties coudées 26, 28 et les parties 30, 32 de serrage sont dans des plans sensiblement parallèles à la roue avant de la bicyclette. Des leviers manuels 36 de commande de câbles 38 de frein sont fixés aux parties 18, 20 d'extrémité, de manière classique. La partie
centrale 16 est fixée sur la colonne 12 par une pince clas-
sique 37.
Des parties 18, 20 d'extrémité du guidon sont fixées de façon amovible sur la partie centrale 16 par des
accouplements 40, 42 qui-sont de préférence identiques.
Les accouplements 40, 42 permettent le déplacement des par-
ties 18, 20 d'extrémité entre la position normale de course
représentée en traits pleins et l'une quelconque d(e nom-
breuses autres positions, notamment les positions hautes ou de promenade représentées en traits interrompus sur la
figure 1.
Comme indiqué sur les figures 2 et 3, l'accouple-
ment 42 comporte un premier organe 44 de serrage fixé à la
partie centrale 16 du guidon, un second organe 46 de ser-
rage fixé à la partie d'extrémité 20, et un dispositif de serrage sous forme d'un ensemble 48 ayant une vis ou un boulon 50 comprenant une tête 54 (représentée sur la figure 3), la vis 50 coopérant avec un bouton ou un écrou 52. Ce
dernier est représenté sur la figure 2 avec une partie su-
périeureconcave alors que, sur la figure 3, il est repré-
senté dans une variante avec une forme creuse et légère né-
cessitant moins de matière. Les organes 44, 46 de serrage comportent des dispositifs de blocage sous forme de faces complémentaires 56, 58 destinées à coopérer, ces faces
ayant des dents ou saillies 60, 62 et des gorges intermé-
diaires 64, 66 régulièrement réparties de la même manière et disposées radialement à partir des axes alignés C. Les organes 44, 46 ont des trous coaxiaux 68, 70 destinés au passage du boulon 50. La rotation dans le sens horaire de l'ensemble 48 provoque le serrage des organes 44, 46 l'un contre l'autre par introduction des dents de chaque organe
dans les gorges correspondantes de l'autre organe. Les or-
ganes 44, 46 d'accouplement doivent être fixés aux parties
16 et 20 du guidon afin qu'ils ne puissent pas tourner au-
tour de ces parties. En particulier, dans le cas des matières
thermoplastiques, cette fixation peut être obtenue par mou-
lage des organes de serrage sur les parties adjacentes d'ex-
trémité des parties 16 et 20 d'une part et 16 et 18 d'autre
part, et par introduction d'axes placés au contact des or-
ganes d'accouplement et des parties de guidon, par exemple -sous forme de vis auto-taraudeuses 72, 74 disposées dans les organes 44 et 46 et dans les parties 16 et 20 du guidon. Les vis 72 et 74 pénètrent dans des trous percés préalablement (non représentés) dans les parties 16 et 20 du guidon. Dans ne variante, on peut aussi utiliser des colles ou d'autres dispositifs mécaniques de fixation. Les organes de serrage
peuvent être formés de métal et dans ce cas on peut utili-
ser le soudage et le brasage pour la fixation de ces organes
sur les parties de guidon.
La figure 4 représente un accouplement 141 selon un
autre mode de réalisation de l'invention. Il comprend un pre-
mier organe 144 et un second organe 146 de serrage fixés respectivement aux parties 16 et 20 du guidon. Les organes
144 et 146 sont différents des organes 44 et 46 décrits pré-
cédemment en ce qu'ils forment des ensembles d'éléments destinés à bloquer mécaniquement les organes de serrage
sur les parties de guidon. Ainsi, l'organe 14-4 a des tron-
çons 148, 150 qui ont des surfaces 152, 154 en forme de
demi-cylindres et destinées à coopérer en entourant la par-
tie centrale 16 du guidon. Une paire de boulons 156 passe dans des trous alignés des tronçons 148, 150 et des écrous 158 fixés sur les extrémités filetées des boulons. Lorsque les écrous 158 sont serrés sur les boulons 156, les deux tronçons 148, 150 sont bien serrés l'un contre l'autre et bloquent l'organe 144 sur la partie 16 du guidon. L'organe 146 est réalisé de manière analogue sous forme de tronçons 160, 162 qui sont bloqués sur la partie 20 du guidon après serrage des écrous 166 sur des boulons 164. Les organes de serrage et les parties de guidon sont maintenus par des vis auto-taraudeuses 172 et 174 pénétrant dans les organes 144 et 146 et vissées dans des trous préalablement percés (non représentés) dans les parties 16 et 20 du guidon, afin que les organes 144 et 146 ne puissent pas tourner sur les parties 20 et 16 du guidon respectivement. Les organes 144 et 146 sont serrés et desserrés à l'aide d'un ensemble 48 à vis comme dans le mode de réalisation qui précède. Les faces complémentaires 168, 170 des organes 144, 146 sont représentées sous forme plate; cependant, elles peuvent être rugueuses, munies de saillies ou peuvent comporter des
élémentsintermédiaires donnant l'effet voulu de blocage lors-
que les organes 144, 146 sont serrés l'un contre l'autre en vue d'assurer le blocage amovible des parties de guidon dans
la configuration voulue.
La figure 5 représente un accouplement 242 selon un autre mode de réalisation de l'invention. Il comprend
un premier organe 244 qui est solidaire de la partie cen-
trale 16 du guidon. Un second organe 246 est solidaire de
la partie 20 d'extrémité du guidon. Le dispositif de ser-
rage comprend un ensemble 48 ayant un boulon 50 muni d'une
tête 54, le boulon coopérant avec un bouton ou écrou 52 com-
me décrit en référence au mode de réalisation des figures 2 et 3. Les organes 244 et 246 ont un dispositif de blocage
formé sur les faces complémentaires 256, 258 qui sont des-
tinées à coopérer, ces faces ayant des saillies 260, 262
et des organes intermédiaires 264, 266 régulièrement espa-
cés de façon identique, en direction radiale par rapport à
l'axe du boulon 50, celui-ci passant dans des trous co-
axiaux 268 et 270 des organes 244 et 246. Ces derniers sont serrés par l'ensemble 48 qui repousse les dents de chaque organe de serrage dans les gorges correspondantes de
l'autre organe.
La figure 6 représenté un premier organe 302 d'une paire d'organes analogues complémentaires fixés à des parties adjacentes de guidon et destinés à former un accouplement. L'organe 302 a une partie 304 de fixation dont la section est telle qu'il peut coulisser sans jeu dans une
partie creuse 310 du guidon, représentée en coupe partielle.
L'organe 302 ne peut pas tourner dans la partie 306 car il_
est retenue par deux organes 308 tels que des rivets, pas-
sant dans des trous 310 formés dans la partie 304 de fixa-
tion, et dans des trous alignés coaxialement 312 formés dans la partie 20 du guidon. L'organe 302 a un épaulement 313 qui limite la profondeur de pénétration dans la partie 306
du guidon, et une face 314 représentée en plan sur la fi-
gure 6, comprenant des saillies radiales 316 et des gorges 318 qui alternent et qui sont destinées à coopérer avec un
- organe de forme analogue (non représenté), l'ensemble for-
mant un dispositif de blocage. Les organes sont serrés par
un dispositif tel que représenté sur la figure 3, et l'or-
gane 302 a un trou 320 destiné au passage du boulon 50 (représenté sur la figure 3) et faisant partie du dispositif
de serrage..
La figure 7 est une coupe d'un autre mode de ré-
alisation de dispositif de serrage analogue à celui de la figure 3. Un ensemble 448 de serrage est représenté sur la figure 7 et comprend des éléments correspondant à ceux du mode de réalisation de la figure 3. En outre, une surface 450 d'un organe 444 d'accouplement, placée en face d'une
surface 451 d'un bouton 452 a plusieurs logements 454 dis-
posés autour du boulon 50 et destinés à loger un organe 456 de blocage. Ce dernier est retenu dans un cylindre 458 percé dans le bouton 452 en direction sensiblement parallèle au boulon 50 mais avec un certain décalage. L'organe 456 de blocage est repoussé dans l'un des logements 454 par un
ressort hélicoïdal 460 placé dans le cylindre 458 et.pre-
nant appui, par ses extrémités opposées, sur le cylindre 458 et sur l'organe de blocage 456. Le ressort 460 entoure un
arbre 462 dont une extrémité est fixée à l'organe de blo-
cage et l'autre passe à travers le bouton 452, du côté opposé à la surface 451, dans un trou 464 de diamètre inférieur à celui du cylindre 458, coaxial à ce cylindre et communiquant avec lui. Un levier 466 est fixé par un
axe 468 à l'arbre 462, à proximité de l'extrémité de celui-
ci qui dépasse du trou 464,si bien que l'organe 456 de blo-
cage peut être retiré du logement 454 par application d'une pression à une première extrémité du levier 466, provoquant ainsi le retrait de l'organe 456 et de l'arbre 462 et la
compression du ressort 460. Le retrait de l'organe de blo-
cage du logement 454 permet la rotation du bouton 452, cet-
te rotation étant par ailleurs empêchée par l'organe de
blocage.
La figure 8 est un détail d'une autre variante du mode de réalisation de la figure 2 et elle représente en coupe partielle un bouton 552, un organe 544 d'accouplement,
une partie 16 de guidon et une vis auto-taraudeuse 72 pas-
sant à travers l'organe 544 et vissée dans la partie 16 du guidon. Sur la figure 8, une gorge annulaire est délimitée à lapériphérie intérieure du bouton 52. Une surface 576 forme la face inférieure du bouton 552 placé contre une
surface 578 de l'organe 44. Plusieurs encoches 580 desti-
nées à loger une extrémité 582 d'une butée 584 sont formées près de la gorge annulaire 574, à la périphérie du bouton 52. La butée 584 est formée d'une matière élastique, par exemple d'acier à ressort, ayant une extrémité libre 582 qui peut fléchir lorsqu'une pression lui est appliquée,
l'autre extrémité étant fixée à l'organe 544 par la vis 72.
Lorsque l'extrémité 582 est enfoncée comme-indiqué en traits interrompus sur la figure 8, le bouton 552 peut tourner mais cette rotation est normalement évitée par l'extrémité 582
de la butée 584.
Lors de l'utilisation, les premiers organes de
serrage d'une paire d'accouplements (par exemple les or-
ganes 44, 144 ou 244 dans le cas des accouplements 42, 142 et 242) fixés à la partie centrale 16 du guidon, restent fixes alors que les seconds organes d'accouplement (par exemple 46, 146 ou 246 pour les accouplements 42, 142 et 242) peuvent tourner avec les parties de guidon portant les poignées (c'est-à-dire 18, 20) autour de l'axe de chaque
vis 50 passant dans chaque paire d'organes de l'accouple-
ment. L'ensemble 48 à vis est utilisé pour la fixation de
façon réglable de l'emplacement des seconds organes de ser-
rage ou organes rotatifs par rapport aux premiers organes
ou aux organes fixes si bien que les poignées 34 sont main-
tenues en position fixe voulue.
Les accouplements des modes de réalisation des
figures 1, 2, 4 et 6 peuvent être utilisés comme accessoi-
res pour des bicyclettes ayant des guidons classiques, et le mode de réalisation de la figure 5 peut constituer un équipement d'origine pour guidon neuf. Un accouplement 42
ou 142 représenté sur les figures 2 et 4, utilisé comme ac-
cessoire, est monté par découpe des guidons 14 en un point distant de la colonne 12 de direction, par exemple avec une scie alternative, un coupetubes ou un autre instrument convenable, la partiecentrale 16 restant fixée à la pince 37. Un trou de guidage est percé dans les parties 16 et 20 pour le logement des vis auto-taraudeuses telles que 72, 74, 172 et 174. Un organe tel que 44, 144 d'un accouplement tel que 42, 142 est fixé à la partie centrale 16 du guidon et l'autreorgane tel que 46, 146 est fixé à la partie libre du guidon, les vis auto-taraudeuses correspondantes étant alorsserrées. Lorsque le dispositif de fixation de
la figure 4 est incorporé, les organes de serrage sont fi-
xés aux extrémités adjacentes des parties de guidon à l'aide d'un simple tournevis. Lé montage d'un dispositif de serrage tel que représenté sur les figures 3, 7 et 8 avec les organes d'accouplement termine le montage. Comme
les organes d'accouplement, dans ces deux modes de réali-
sation, entourent complètement les extrémités des parties
de guidon auxquelles ils sont fixés, les bords sciées ru-
gueux sont inaccessibles et les personnes utilisant la il
bicyclette ou réglant le guidon ne peuvent pas être bles-
sées. Un accouplement dont un organe 302 est représenté sur la figure 6, est monté de manière analogue, le guidon étant
scié et les trous 312 étant percés dans les parties de gui-
don afin que les trous 310 de chaque organe d'accouplement soient alignés et permettent le logement des axes ou rivets 308. Les parties de fixation des organes d'accouplement,
adaptées à la section du guidon, sont simplement introdui-
tes dans les parties creuses du guidon, les rivets sont fixés et un dispositif de serrage tel que représenté sur
les figures 3, 7 et 8, est monté avec les organes d'accou-
plement afin que le montage soit terminé. Dans ce mode de réalisation, les bords sciés sont exposés et ils doivent être limés par mesure de précaution. Dans les différents
modes de réalisation destinés à être utilisés comme acces-
soires, il peut être souhaitable qu'une partie du guidon soit retirée soit dans la partie centrale 16 soit dans la partie 20 d'extrémité afin que la longueur ajoutée par l'accouplement soit compensée. Lorsque les accouplements
constituent des parties intégrantes d'un guidon dès l'ori-
gine, le guidon peut être formé par morceaux si bien que
les opérations précitées de coupe sont superflues.
Les parties 18, 20 d'extrémité du guidon sont réglées d'une position existante à une autre position par desserrage des dispositifs de serrage qui maintiennent les organes d'accouplement (44, 46; 144, 146; 244, 246) fixes l'un par rapport à l'autre, par réglage des parties 18, 20
d'extrémité dans la position voulue et par serrage du dis-
positif. Lorsque le dispositif de serrage représenté com-
prend un boulon et un écrou, il peut être réalisé sous d'autres formes, par exemple un dispositif à libération
par bouton-poussoir repoussé élastiquement, à came et ge-
nouillère repoussée élastiquement ou de tout autre type permettant le déblocage des organes de l'accouplement afin que l'un puisse tourner par rapport à l'autre et puisse être
bloqué à nouveau.
Lorsqu'un cycliste veut changer la position du guidon, il libère le dispositif de serrage et débloque les organes d'accouplement, par exemple 44, 46 (ou 144, 146;
244, 246>, il tourne les poignées 34 dans la position vou-
lue et il bloque les organes d'accouplement afin qu'ils ne puissent pas tourner, par serrage du dispositif. Le mode de réalisation de dispositif de serrage de la figure 3 comporte un simple arrangement à vis ou boulons et écrous. Le bouton ou écrou 52 est tourné afin que le boulon 50 soit desserré et débloque les organes de l'accouplement qui peuvent ainsi être tournés l'un par rapport à l'autre. La rotation dans
l'autre sens du bouton 52 bloque les organes de l'accou-
plement et empêche leur rotation indésirable. Le cas éché-
ant, une butée peut être ajoutée au dispositif de serrage représenté sur la figure 3 afin que la pince ne puisse pas être desserrée intempestivement, par exemple par les chocs transmis par une surface irrégulière du trajet suivi par la bicyclette. Deux modes de réalisation de butée qui peuvent être utilisés avec le dispositif de serrage représenté sur la figure 3 sont indiqués sur les figures 7 et 8. Sur la figure 7, la butée comprend un organe de blocage 456 placé
à l'intérieur de l'écrou 452 et repoussé par un ressort hé-
licoldal 460 dans un logement 454, disposé autour du boulon
, dans l'organe 444 d'accouplement. L'organe 456 de blo-
cage, lorsqu'il est placé dans le logement, empêche la ro-
tation du bouton 452. Le retrait de l'organe 456 à l'inté-
riexr du bouton 452, par enfoncement ou soulèvement du levier 466 placé sur le bouton 452, doit précéder la rotation du
bouton. La figure 8 représente un mode de réalisation dif-
férent de butée. La butée 484 comporte un levier élastique dont l'extrémité libre 582 est normalement en coopération
avec l'une de plusieurs encoches 580 formées à la périphé-
rie du bouton 552. Le réglage du guidon à l'aide d'un ac-
couplement comprenant une butée selon ce mode de réalisa-
tion nécessite que l'extrémité libre 582 soit repoussée avant et pendant la rotation du bouton 52. D'autres modes
de réalisation-de butée peuvent être réalisés par les hom-
mes du métier soit avec le dispositif de serrage représenté
sur la figure 3, soit avec un autre dispositif de serrage.
Même lors de l'utilisation d'une butée, le réglage des deux parties mobiles du guidon d'une position à une autre peut être réalisé en moins d'une minute, sans outil manuel et, le cas échéant, l'opération peut être réalisée par un cy- cliste expérimenté sans qu'il descende de la bicyclette et
même sans qu'il cesse de rouler. A cet effet, il est préfé-
rable que chaque accouplement soit monté de manière que les boutons ou autres éléments de libération du dispositif de
serrage et de commande de butée soient facilement accessi-
bles pour le cycliste.
Un avantage supplémentaire de l'utilisation des accouplements est le pliage du guidon en vue du rangement ou du transport de la bicyclette. Les accouplements 40, 42; 140, 142; 240, 242 permettent la rotation et le serrage des
guidons en position relativement proche du cadre de la bi-
cyclette si bien que l'espace occupé par celle-ci peut être
réduit sans démontage du guidon 14 de la colonne 12 de di-
rection.
Un autre avantage de l'invention est que le ré-
glage des parties 30, 32 portant les poignées ne modifie
pas le sens de commande des leviers 36 de freinage.

sans sortir du cadre de l'invention.
Claims (4)
1. Guidon, du type qui comprend une partie centrale (16) et des parties opposées d'extrémité (18, 20),
les parties d'extrémité ayant des tronçons recti-
lignes (22, 24), des tronçons courbes (26, 28) et des tron- çons de saisie (30, 32), ledit guidon étant caractérisé en ce que il comprend des accouplements (40, 42; 142; 242 448) destinés à serrer les parties d'extrémité (18, 20) sur
la partie centrale (16) en position voulue, les accouple-
ments comprenant chacun un premier organe dé serrage (44; 144; 244; 302 444; 544) fixé à la partie centrale (16) du guidon et ayant
un dispositif de blocage (56, 168, 256, 314) destiné à coo-
pérer avec un dispositif de blocage d'un second organe de serrage, un second organe de serrage (46; 146; 246; 302) fixé aux parties d'extrémité (18, 20) du guidon et ayant un
dispositif de blocage (58; 168; 258; 314) destiné à coo-
pérer avec le dispositif de blocage du premier organe de serrage, et
un dispositif de serrage (48, 448) destiné à ser-
rer sélectivement les paires de dispositifs de blocage en position de blocage et à desserrer le premier et le second
dispositif de blocage en position desserrée.
2. Guidon selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce
que les accouplements (302) comprennent des parties de fi-
xation (304) ayant une section telle qu'elles peuvent pé-
nétrer dans un guidon creux en coopérant avec la surface
interne de celui-ci.
3. Guidon selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce
que les dispositifs de blocage comprennent des dents imbri-
quées (60, 62; 260, 262; 316).
4. Guidon selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce
que le dispositif de serrage comprend un boulon (50) comman-
dé par un bouton-(52).
