Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé d'élimination d'eau d'une masse de matière intumescente humide par chauffage. Pendant ce chauffage, on introduit dans l'atmosphère 7 en contact avec cette matière 1 un ou des gaz moins solubles que l'oxygène dans la matière intumescente et/ou un ou plusieurs gaz correspondant à la phase vapeur d'un solvant de la masse de matière intumescente. Convient particulièrement à la fabrication de couches de matière intumescente de haute qualité optique, destinées à entrer dans la fabrication de vitrages coupe-feu.
