Abstract

L'invention concerne des éléments de construction en matière vitreuse, translucides, à rebords. Ces éléments comprennent au moins une couche 8 de matière intumescente consistant en un sel métallique hydraté choisi parmi les aluns, les aluminates, les borates, les phosphates, les plombates, les silicates et les stannates, de préférence un sel d'aluminium ou de métal alcalin constituant une couche solide transparente à 20 degrés C. Ces éléments constituent, en cas d'incendie, des écrans coupe-feu.
