Abstract

L'invention concerne les systèmes de propulsion de véhicules. Le système de l'invention comprend un volant 16 et une unité de transmission à variation continue, 20, qui sont accouplés par un embrayage 14 à l'arbre de sortie d'un moteur 10. Outre sa fonction classique, le volant 16 fait fonction de dispositif de stockage d'énergie cinétique pendant la décélération, et il peut restituer cette énergie pendant l'accélération, ce qui permet de réduire la consommation de carburant Application à la construction automobile.
