Abstract
Procédé et appareil de mesure de la teneur d'un élément donné dans un échantillon au moyen d'un rayonnement de rayons X. Dans un tel procédé et appareil, les électrons provenant de la cathode 2 d'un tube à rayons X de faible puissance 1 sont dirigés sur un côté de l'anode 3 du tube, cette anode étant constituée d'une mince couche de matière anodique recouvrant une plaque de béryllium. Les électrons excitent le rayonnement primaire de rayons X dans la matière anodique, émettant des raies caractéristiques aux rayons X. Le rayonnement traverse le côté opposé de l'anode 3, en tant que rayonnement de transmission, et est dirigé sur l'élément donné 5 devant être mesuré, en produisant une fluorescence sur celui-ci, cette fluorescence étant provoquée par les raies caractéristiques. Les raies fluorescentes de la substance constituant l'élément sont ensuite isolées au moyen d'un filtre équilibré 4, 7.
