Abstract
PURPOSE:To detect the fluorescent magnetic powder liquid concentration accurately and quickly, and automatically adjusting the magnetic powder concentration according to the measurement, by radiating ultraviolet rays to fluorescent magnetic powder liquid, and measuring the luminous intensity of a specific wavelength in the generated fluorescence. CONSTITUTION:This is related to the fluorescent magnetic powder concentration which is largely influential to the inspection precision in the fluorescent magnetic powder flaw detection. Ultraviolet rays are radiated from an ultraviolent lamp 6 to magnetic powder liquid 2 in a magnetic powder liquid tank 1 through a window 5, and the generated fluoresence is subjected to spectral analysis with a prism 8. Then, in each specific wavelength region, the electric charge according to the quantity of light is accumulated by a photoelectric transducer group 10. Thus obtained results of spectral analysis are operated of the concentration in an arithmetic unit 13, and in order to adjust the detected concentration to the target concentration, concentration adjusting commands to magnetic powder and water supply devices are outputted to a valve driving device 17 for water and magnetic powder liquid, so that the concentration may be controlled automatically.
