Abstract
On prépare une masse fondue d'acier au silicium contenant 2,5 à 4,0 % de silicium, on coule, on lamine à chaud, on lamine à froid, on décarbure, on applique un revêtement de base d'oxyde réfractaire et on effectue un recuit de texturation final; on applique le revêtement d'oxyde de base par électrolyse d'une solution aqueuse dont le constituant principal est au moins un composé du groupe constitué par les sels solubles dans l'eau du calcium, du magnésium, du manganèse et de l'aluminium et qui contient du bore comme constituant secondaire, l'acier constituant la cathode placée dans la solution, on retire l'acier ainsi revêtu de la solution et on chauffe l'acier revêtu à température élevée. L'invention s'applique en particulier à la préparation d'acier électromagnétique au silicium de perméabilité élevée ayant une orientation cube sur arête.
