Abstract

L'invention concerne un nouveau polysaccharide contenant de l'allose comme un des constituants sucres, éventuellement avec du galactose, du glucose, du mannose et de l'acide glucuronique, et un procédé de préparation de ce polysaccharide, qui consiste à cultiver dans un milieu nutritif des bactéries du genre Pseudomonas, à accumuler le polysaccharide dans le milieu, puis à l'en séparer et à la recueillir sous une forme éventuellement purifiée, ledit milieu contenant notamment du méthanol comme source de carbone.
