Abstract

L'instrument de navigation pour véhicule routier selon la présente invention comprend un premier compteur 11 pour compter des impulsions émises en réponse au déplacement du véhicule sur une distance prédéterminée de maniere à détecter la distance parcourue depuis le point de départ d'un parcours, un second compteur 12 pour compter des impulsions d'horloge de manière à détecter le temps écoulé depuis le départ du véhicule. Un microcalculateur 19, 21, 22, 23, 27 calcule à partir des données reçues des premier et second compteurs une valeur représentant la vitesse moyenne du véhicule sur la distance parcourue et compare la vitesse moyenne calculée avec une vitesse voulue afin de détecter l'écart entre la vitesse moyenne réelle et la vitesse de référence Un comparateur 28 détecte si cet écart dépasse une valeur prédéterminée de manière à engendrer un signal d'avertissement et à alerter le conducteur du véhicule pour qu'il corrige la vitesse de son véhicule.
