Abstract

L'invention se rapporte à des pompes à engrenages. Une pompe à engrenages comporte deux engrenages 17, 18 à denture externe en prise, les flancs non travaillants des dents étant pourvus d'évidements 25, 26 qui servent à agrandir le volume total V1, V2 qui est formé entre les engrenages lorsqu'ils sont en prise. Chacun desdits volumes diminue d'abord, puis augmente à mesure que les engrenages tournent et il est agencé de façon que les volumes formés commencent à communiquer avec l'orifice d'entrée 20 de la pompe avant que ce volume ait à augmenter, ce qui permet de réduire au minimum la cavitation du fluide pompé dans une zone adjacente aux dents des engrenages. Application aux circuits de carburant d'avions.
