Abstract
La présente invention concerne la production d'un gaz de synthèse constitué par un mélange de monoxyde de carbone et d'hydrogène. Ce gaz est obtenu en mettant en contact le méthanol, en phase vapeur avec un catalyseur comprenant, sur support, un métal du groupe VIII du tableau périodique, seul ou en combinaison avec un ou plusieurs, métaux des groupes I à VIII, à une température de 200 à 600 degrés C et à une pression de 0 à 50 bars; les meilleurs résultats sont obtenus avec un mélange de rhodium et de cuivre sur support de silice. Application à la production de gaz de synthèse, tels que l'oxyde de carbone et hydrogène.
