Abstract

L'invention concerne les coupleurs qui permettent de relier plusieurs voies de transmission utilisant des fibres optiques et de mélanger les signaux lumineux se propageant sur ces voies. Elle consiste à ménager une coupure transversale dépolie dans la fibre mélangeuse unique d'un tel coupleur, provoquant ainsi une diffusion de la lumière transmise qui augmente l'homogénéité du mélange entre voies. Elle permet de réaliser des coupleurs multivoies qui présentent une très faible dispersion entre voies.
