Abstract

La présente invention concerne un ensemble de fibres optiques constituant un guide d'ondes, comprenant une ligne de transmission optique et au moins un coupleur d'entrée couplé optiquement à celle-ci. La ligne de transmission et le coupleur d'entrée sont des guides d'ondes à fibre unique comportant chacune un coeur d'indice de réfraction relativement élevé et un revêtement optique entourant ledit coeur et d'indice de réfraction inférieur. Une partie du revêtement optique du coupleur est réunie par fusion à une partie du revêtement du guide d'ondes transmetteur de maniéré à former un élément de couplage, commun à partir des deux guides d'ondes. Application à la transmission de signaux d'information provenant d'un groupe de terminaux à un autre groupe éloigné.
