Abstract

The rectangular and modular steel-framed unit is for the construction of sectional steel-framed sheds. The unit comprises three or more parallel interspaced beams united by common end beams (32). The edge (30) and intermediate beams are respectively of a simple and compound form. The primary profile comprises one vertical member and two horizontal members when viewed in transverse section and may be of a channel section with a short square internal return to each flange. The two profiles (36, 37) in an intermediate beam are joined at their ends and are at 50 to 150 mm centre to centre. The end beams may be of the same primary profile and all profiles may be galvanised with bolt holes provided.
