Abstract

Ce procédé est du type de ceux dans lesquels on éteint tout d'abord de la chaux vive avec de l'eau, apres quoi on malaxe, moule et sèche la masse ainsi obtenue Dans le procédé selon l'invention, la chaux vive finement broyée 1 et l'eau traversent de façon continue une zone d'extinction 3, puis une zone de malaxage 6, après quoi la masse pâteuse qui en résulte est refoulée par un processus d'enduction (en 12) dans des cavités 13 de forme convenable d'une bande sans fin 14, séchée (en 16) pendant le défilement de la bande et éjectée hors des cavités sous la forme de corps moulés 17. Ce procédé permet d'obtenir, avec un rendement élevé et un nombre réduit d'heures de travail, un produit granulé ayant un excellent pouvoir absorbant et une faible résistance à l'écoulement.
