Abstract

Cette invention concerne la préparation de 3-méthoxy-4-(4'- aminobenzènesulfamido)- 1,2,5 thiadiazole. On fait réagir du 3-méthoxy-4-chloro-1,2,5-thiadiazole avec du sulfanilamide dans du diméthylsulfoxyde à titre de solvant, à des températures allant de la température ambiante à 95 degrés C au maximum et en présence d'hydroxydes et (ou) de carbonates alcalins. On utilise, pour 1 mole de 3-méthoxy-4-chloro-1,2,5- thiadiazole, de 1,2 à 1,5 mole de sulfanilamide et de 1,5 à 3 moles au maximum d'hydroxydes et (ou) de carbonates alcalins. On récupère le produit par acidification. Ce procédé permet d'obtenir un composé d'une pureté satisfaisante à des fins pharmacologiques.
