Abstract

Dispositif muni d'une enveloppe étanche aux gaz divisée intérieurement en une chambre de décharge sous atmosphère gazeuse et en une chambre d'accélération d'électrons renfermant un écran à luminophores et d'électrodes auxiliaires pour la commutation de ligne ainsi que d'autres, perpendiculaires aux premières, pour la commande de luminosite. La chambre de décharge 4 est séparée de la chambre d'accélération d'électrons 5 par une paroi transparente 3 étanche au vide poussé dont la face tournée vers l'écran lumineux 12 est munie d'une photocathode 11 en tant que source d'électrons. Exemple d'application : tube image plat pour reproduction d'images de télevision en couleur.
