Abstract

L'invention concerne l'amélioration de la résistance mécanique des produits obtenus par mélange et prise des ciments. Les mélanges comprennent du ciment hydraulique (Portland ou à grande teneur en alumine), de l'agrégat, assez d'eau pour provoquer la prise du ciment, et un additif qui est de la caroube (provenant de Ceratonia Siliqua). Cet additif est de la gousse et/ou graine de caroube crue ou rôtie ou un de leurs extraits ou une combinaison, et il est présent en une proportion (jusqu'à environ 0,25 % du poids du ciment) permettant d'augmenter la résistance à la compression du mélange durci. Le procédé et les compositions peuvent servir à améliorer des bétons, mortiers, coulis, mélanges pour produire des blocs de béton moulé, etc.
