Abstract

The tightening screw can be turned in a terminal block which has a tapped hole. There is a cylindrical hole perpendicular to the tapped hole. A narrow angle plate fits across the end of the screw along the cylindrical hole. The flat plate is bent in the shape of a 'U' and has a hole through the outer leg. The screw passes through the plate in such a way that the plate is free of the thread. An object such as a wire may be tightened in the cylinder without damage from the turning screw in the block.
