Abstract

A clamp band for a barrel or drum closure has flexible metal band (6) cut to the length of the drum periphery, plus an extra amount. One end of the band is passd through the loop (8) of a quick action toggle fastener (7) and folded back on itself. Holding clips (1) are threaded onto the band and the remaining end of the band folded over the other end of the toggle fastener. The assembly fits around the drum, with the folded ends inside and the hooked tops of the clips over the rim of the drum closure. Closing the toggle fastener pulls the clips down onto the drum, locking the closure in place.
