Abstract

The collar consits of a flexible band (4), which is connected at one end to a boss (1). The boss has an internal screw thread in its base so that it can be tightened onto a rigid support with a threaded fastener. The boss has a slot (6) in it so that the free end of the collar can pass through it, forming a loop which can pass around a pipe or cable. The side of the collar is equipped with barbs (10) so that the collar cannot be loosened unintentionally. The barbs will match similar ones in the side of the slot to form a positive lock when the collar is pulled tight.
