Abstract

Rubber or plastic clamping collar comprises at one end an outwardly opening T-shaped groove perpendicular to the plane of the collar in its extended state, and at the other end a narrow zone ending in a wider zone. The collar can be placed with a slip knot around an object, by placing the narrow zone in the groove and tightening the collar so as to introduce the band into the groove which holds it. The slip knot can be undone by withdrawing the band transversely from the groove. The shape of the extended collar is symmetrical to the plane of the band. The band has (partly) sufficient transverse flexibility and elastic compressibility to allow withdrawal from the groove without deformation of the flanks.
