Abstract

The safety hook has two holes (7b) made either side of and parallel to the plane of the hook (7). A hole (7c) with a V-notch is made perpendicular to these holes in the hook. The free end of the flexible cable (2) slides in one of the parallel holes (7b), then passes freely through the notched hole (7c), and is bent to pass freely through the second parallel hole (7b). The cable length is adjusted and the cable is wedged into the notch formed in the hole (7c) in the hook.
