Abstract

1402122 Bundling straps GMT SA 7 Nov 1972 51246/72 Heading E2B A bundling strap comprises an intermediate portion 4 which has a plurality of teeth 5 and an end connector portion 10 which provides a passage 18 for insertion and drawing therethrough of the opposite end portion 1 of the strap to form the strap into a loop with the teeth 5 facing inwardly of the loop, the passage being partially defined by a flexible tongue 22 of the portion 10 and being provided with a plurality of teeth 20 for engagement with the teeth 5, the tongue being also provided with means for facilitating disengagement of the teeth 5 and 20. As shown, the teeth have curved flanks, and the tongue is formed with a bevelled portion 22a for engagement by a tool whereby the tongue can be disengaged from the strap portion 4. A stepped protruberance 9 facilitates tighten ing of the strap. In a modification, the tongue 22, Fig. 7, is provided with grippable rib 60 at the top thereof.
