Abstract

1332853 Buckles, THOMAS WALKER Ltd 29 March 1972 [28 April 1971] 11872/71 Heading E2A In a two part buckle each part is of identical form and has an opening 15 which accommodates a cranked portion 14 of the other part when the buckle is engaged. A latching tab 16 may also be provided on each part to engage an inset edge portion 21 of the other part to assist the secure fastening of the two parts. The strap on which the buckle is accommodated passes through a slot 17 in each part provided by stamping out the sheet metal from which each part may be fabricated to have a tongue 18 with a rounded portion 19. Strengthening ribs 22 may also be provided.
