989,984. Straps and bands. PANDUIT CORPORATION. March 7, 1963 [March 8, 1962], No. 9076/63. Heading A4X. A binder strap 2 has a long end length 4 connected to a connector 5, the length 4 being encircled by a sleeve 6 and the length 4 having teeth 8 and the connector 5 having projecting wedges 9, 10 and teeth 11. To fasten the band the free end 4a is inserted in sleeve 6 and pulled through, the tension causing wedges 9, 10 to enter the sleeve and press teeth 8, 11 into engagement.
