977,757. Hose clamps. JURID WERKE G.m.b.H. Jan. 27, 1962 [Nov. 18, 1961; Dec. 15, 1961], No. 28910/62. Heading E2B. A metal hose clamping strap, adapted to form a band for encircling a hose to be clamped, has a row of perforations 4 any one of which can receive a hook 3 situated at one end of the strap to form the band, the strap adjacent the hook having a U-shaped portion 2 which in use is collapsed (by a pair of pincers) to apply tension to the band. The non-hooked end is tapered in thickness. The strap can be stamped from a metal strip the width of which corresponds either to the width or length of the strap.
