Abstract

1,163,323. Strap fastenings. THOMAS & BETTS CORP. 12 Aug., 1966 [17 Aug., 1965], No. 36253/66. Heading E2A. A bundling strap 10 comprises a head-end portion 14, a tail end portion 12 and a body portoin 16 therebetween, the head-end portion having an aperture therethrough, a slot 24 extending from the aperture to the exterior of the head-end portion to allow insertion of the body portion into the aperutre via the slot and a pawl 26 depending into the aperture for engaging teeth 20 formed in the body portion 16 when the latter is inserted into the aperture to restrain the body portion from being pulled out of the aperture lengthwise of the body portion. As shown, the pawl is released by means of a finger piece 36 formed integrally with the body portion.
