Abstract

991,102. Tying compressed bundles. FMC CORPORATION. March 5, 1964 [March 27, 1963], No. 9401/64. Heading B8C. Slots 22, 23 in the platens 20, 21 of a baling press permit a tie to be secured about a bale while it is compressed, and the knot or other securing means to be slipped round on to one of the faces engaged by the platens. The ties, which may be in the form of a flat strap, may be laced through the slots 22, 23 before or after the bundle is compressed.
