Abstract

In a method of baling fibrous material in which the material is compressed in a baling press 1, 2, 4 and the compressed material is pushed out of the press through an ejection passage 5 into a container 6, the container 6 is mounted over the ejection passage 5 and bindings 8 sufficiently strong to contain the compressed material are secured round the container before pushing out of the material starts and the material is then pushed into the bound container 6 where it expands against the bindings 8. As shown, the press is of known form and the container 6 may be a tube open at one end to form a bag, having straps or ties 7.
