Abstract

The appliance consists of a foldable plastics bag, which may be positioned in the water circuit to be heated. The water is in contact with the floor layer of the bag, which absorbs the solar radiation passing through the clear, transparent cover layer, formed as a light window. The base of the bag is heat insulated by a foldable air bubble insulation foil, which is directly connected to the absorbent layer, and which also serves as a mechanical protection. The transparent cover consists of a double layer, which may contain an intermediate insulating air layer, in case of low external temperatures. Floor and cover are connected via comb interlocking welded seams. This causes the water to circulate, and maintains the appliance e.g. air bed, stable on slopes.
