Abstract

The solar heat collector consists of a watertight, flexible absorber (2) manufactured from rubber. The absorber is a flat rectangular panel of low volume finished on the upper surface in matt black. A connection for water flow into and out of the absorber is provided. The absorber is contained within an outer, transparent, air tight envelope (6) with an inflation pump (9,10). The envelope produces a greenhouse effect on the side facing the solar radiation and an insulating effect on the underside. The absorber is internally separated into several compartment and is capable of withstanding a water pressure of 3 to 4 bar.
