Abstract

The domestic solar heating system has one or more inclined heater casings forming part of the roof. The casing has an internal roof portion of collector material with very low thermal mass and absorbing solar radiation with a wavelength between 0.25 and 4 microns, and an external cover portion also of very low thermal mass, preferably of material transparent to sunrays and in the form of an opaque body. The latter emits infra-red rays of a wavelength between 4 and 30 microns and is water- and air-tight. The casing (5,6) is connected at the top to a pipe (8) acting as a chimney and equipped with a stop valve (9), and at the bottom to a further pipe (10) leading into the house (1).
