Abstract

The fixing frame is made of two angle pieces (1) (2) with horizontal slots in which are washers and pins (4) and a cross member (5). Two support arms (6) (7) are provided to carry the step and fit inside the angle pieces (1) (2). The lower ends of the support arms are cut away so as not to foul the step (8) which swivels on pins (9). There is a locking pin (11) held on the end of retaining chain (10). The assembly is adjustable horizontally by virtue of the slots. When not in use the platform and brackets fold up into the support flanges.
