Abstract

1320847 Extensible scaffolding A-T-O Inc 21 May 1971 [22 May 1970] 16232/71 Heading E1S Scaffolding comprises a pair of vertical base frames 1 connected by braces 6, a pair of extension frames 2 telescopically received in the base frames 1, and a plurality of braces 12 which may be secured between an extension frame and the opposite base frame in any adjusted position of the extension frame, this being achieved by providing a pair of brace attachment means, e.g. horizontal bars 5, 8, on each of the frames 1, 2 respectively, the spacing between the base frame bars 5 being equal to twice the adjustment position spacing, and the spacing between the extension frame bars 8 being equal to the adjustment position spacing (or vice versa), where the adjustment position spacing is defined by equally spaced holes 10 in the tubular legs 3 or 7 of the base or extension frames into which holes pins 11 are inserted to support the extension frames. According to which position the extension frame occupies, the braces 12 are connected between appropriate ones of each pair of bars 5, 8. The braces 12 are provided at each end with a hook 14 having a spring-loaded retaining pin.
