Ultraäänitoiminen resonanssivärähtelijä Tämä keksintö kohdistuu ultraäänitoimiseen resonanssivärähtely jään, joka käsittää resonanssielimen, jossa 5 on proksimaalinen pää ja distaalinen pää ja ultraäänivä-rähtelymuuttimen, jossa on keskitunneli, jolloin ainakin osa resonanssielimestä sijaitsee tunnelissa.
Ultraäänitoimisen resonanssivärähtelyjän sisältävä laite on tunnettu kirurgisessa käytössä, erityisesti ki-10 rurgin käsikappaleita varten, jotka käsittävät työkaluja kudoksen rikkomiseksi. Tällaisessa laitteessa vaadittavat ultraäänivärähtelyt voidaan tuottaa magnetostriktiolait-teilla siirrettynä liitoselimen kautta sopivaan työkaluun.
Tällaisen laitteen edustava esimerkki on esitetty 15 US-patentissa 4 223 676, jonka selitys on sisällytetty tähän viittaamalla. Patentissa 4 223 676 ehdotetussa laitteessa magnetostriktiomuutin on magnetostriktiolevypaket-ti, joka muodostuu nikkeliseosta olevien kaistaleiden ker-roslevystä, kuten on esitetty US-patentissa RE 25 033. 20 Mainittu levypaketti käsittää useita pitkänomaisia kaistaleita magnetostriktiomateriaalista, ts. nikkeliseoksesta, muodostaen laminoidun rakenteen. Toimiakseen moitteettomasti laminoidun muuttimen tulisi edullisesti: 30 1. olla mekaanisesti jäykkä; 2. omata minimaaliset akustiset häviöt; ja 3. olla suhteellisen helppo siirtää pois toimintaympäristöstään .

Edellä kuvattua lajia oleva muutin on osoittautunut tehokkaaksi ja hyvin käyttökelpoiseksi käytössään kirurgisissa työnsuoritusmenetelmissä. Kuitenkin huolimatta hyvistä suoritussaavutuksistaan siinä on edelleen tiettyjä 5 epäkohtia. Esimerkiksi litteä laminoitu rakenne pyrkii ylikuumenemaan, jos jäähdytysaineen virtaus vähenee jostain syystä, ja tällainen ylikuumeneminen voi johtaa vakavaan laitteen vaurioitumiseen. Myös litteä rakenne antaa mekaanista jäykkyyttä vain yhdessä tasossa. Yleisen jäyk-10 kyyden tämä puuttuminen voi johtaa mekaaniseen vaurioitumiseen väärän käsittelyn takia, ja jos laminoinnit joutuvat erilleen tai taivutetuiksi, koko laite voi tulla käyttökelvottomaksi .
Edellä mainitut epäkohdat voidaan voittaa, jos muu-15 tin tehdään olennaisesti jäykän pylvään muotoon, joka käsittää pitkänomaisia kaistaleita sovitettuina säteittäi-sesti ulottuvien jäähdytysripojen muotoon, kuten on selostettu julkaisussa EP-A-375 032, joka on jätetty samanaikaisesti tämän kanssa ja jonka selitys sisällytetään tähän 20 viittaamalla.

30 Nyt on huomattu,että vielä edelleen parannettu ult- raäänitoiminen resonanssivärähtelijä, joka käsittää julkaisussa EP-A-375 052 ehdotetun jäähdytysrivoilla varustetun magnetostriktiomuuttimen, muodostetaan, jos mainittu muutin valmistetaan siten, että siinä on riittävän suuren 35 halkaisijan omaava keskitunneli resonanssielimen ainakin 3 96825 osan mahduttamiseksi, erityisesti liitososan mahduttami-seksi, joka siirtää ultraäänivärähtelyt toimintaelimeen, esim. kirurgin työkaluun tai nesteen siirtojohtoon. Lisäksi on huomattu, että on epäolennaista lopullisen laitteen 5 tehokkaalle toiminnalle, onko mainittu liitososa kiinnitetty ulkopuolisesta pää päähän, muuttimeen vai kiinnitetty sisäpuolisesti, kuten jäljempänä selostetaan, muotoon, jota tässä nimitetään "taitetuksi resonaattoriksi".
Esillä olevan keksinnön mukaan on muodostettu ult-10 raäänitoiminen resonanssivärähtelijä, jolle on tunnusomaista, että muutin on magnetostriktiomuutin ultraääni-värähtelyjen synnyttämiseksi, jotka siirretään muuttimesta resonanssielimeen, että muutin käsittää useita pitkänomaisia kaistaleita magnetostriktiomateriaalista, jolloin jo-15 kaisessa kaistaleessa on proksimaalinen pää ja distaalinen pää, jokaisen kaistaleen ollessa poikkileikkaukseltaan olennaisesti V-muotoinen ja V:n molempien haarojen ollessa muodostettu kaistaleen pituussuuntaisesta osasta, ja jokainen kaistale on kiinnitetty viereiseen kaistaleeseen 20 molemmista päistä samaa kokonaisuutta olevan olennaisesti jäykän pylvään muodostamiseksi, jossa pylväässä on keski-akseli varustettuna kaistaleista muodostetuilla jäähdytys-rivoilla, jotka ulkonevat säteittäisesti mainitusta akselista, ja jossa pylväässä on keskireikä, joka määrittelee 25 keskitunnelin, jolloin resonanssielimen proksimaalinen pää on kiinnitetty tunnelin sisäpuoliseen päähän.
Edullisesti mainittu resonanssielin käsittää liitososan, jossa on proksimaalinen pää ja distaalinen pää, jolloin mainittu proksimaalinen pää vastaa resonanssieli-30 men proksimaalista päätä ja mainittu distaalinen pää on tarkoitettu yhdistettäväksi toimintaelimeen.

Tällaisessa edullisessa sovellutuksessa jokaisen 5 kaistaleen kiinnittäminen sen päistä on tehty kovajuottamalla tai hitsaamalla. On myös edullista, että jokaisen V-muotoisen kaistaleen kumpikin haara on koskettavassa kytkennässä välittömästi viereisen kaistaleen haaran kanssa kaistaleen koko pituussuuntaista osuutta pitkin säteit-10 täisesti ulottuvien jäähdytysripojen muodostamiseksi ja tuloksena olevat jäähdytysrivat muodostavat säteittäisen mallin mainitun keskitunnelin ympäri ulottuen tuloksena olevan olennaisesti jäykän pylvään pituudelle.
Erittäin edullinen sovellutus on värähtelijä, jossa 15 resonanssielin käsittää yhdistävän osan tai toimintaeli-meen yhdistetyn elimen yhteyden ja mainittu toimintaelin on kirurgin työkalu. Tässä sovellutuksessa elimet muodostavat kirurgin käsikappaleen osan, joka käyttäen hyväksi taitettua resonaattoria on huomattavasti lyhyempi kuin ta-20 vanomaiset käsikappaleet ja sen mukaisesti vähemmän hankala ja helpompi käsitellä kuin aikaisemman lajin käsikappaleet.

. Värähtelijässä on edullisesti keskireikä, joka ulottuu sen pituussuunnassa, ja mainitulla reiällä on riittävän suuri halkaisija mahduttaakseen kuljetusnestettä varten olevan putken.
30 Päinvastoin kuin aikaisemman lajin tavanomainen laminoitu levypaketti esillä olevan keksinnön värähtelijässä käytetty muutin on olennaisesti jäykän pylvään muodossa, edullisesti olennaisesti ympyrämäinen poikkileikkaukseltaan, jossa on pituussuuntainen keskiakselia pitkin 35 keskistetty keskitunneli ja jäähdytysrivat ulottuen sä- I : t« t *:lll 1.1**-! , 96825 teittäisesti mainitun akselin suhteen. Edullisessa sovellutuksessa jokainen pitkänomaisista kaistaleissa on olennaisesti V-muotoinen poikkileikkaukseltaan ja mainittu pylväs on muodostettu suuntaamalla 10 jokainen kaistale niin, että toinen sen haaroista on koskettavassa kytkennässä välittömästi viereisen kaistaleen haaran kanssa sen koko pituussuuntaista pituutta pitkin, niin että koskettavat kaistaleet muodostavat jäähdytysri-pojen säteittäisen mallin mainitun keskitunnelin ympärille 15 ulottuen pylvään pituudelle. Tuloksena oleva rakenne on olennaisesti jäykkä pylväs, joka on jäykempi kuin aikaisemman lajin laminoitu levypaketti, ja lisäksi jäähdytys-ripajärjestely muodostaa useita vapaita pintoja, jotka helpottavat lämpöhäviöitä ja siten pienentävät ylikuumen-20 tumisen mahdollisuutta, jos normaali jäähdytyslaite menisi epäkuntoon.

V-muoto on erittäin sopiva yksittäisten kaistaleiden valmistuksen helppouden vuoksi, pylväsmäisen muodon rakenteen yksinkertaisuuden vuoksi ja suuremman jäykkyyden vuoksi verrattuna muihin useita tällaisia kaistaleita käyttäviin muotoihin.
30 Kaistaleiden päistään toisiinsa kiinnittämisen yh teydessä muodostuneessa pylväässä on keskitunneli, joka ulottuu pylvään pituussuunnassa, ja ainakin osa resonans-sielimestä sijaitsee mainitun tunnelin sisällä ja on kiinnitetty proksimaalisesta päästään mainitun tunnelin sisä-35 puolelle. Keksinnön erittäin edullisessa sovellutuksessa 6 96825 resonanssielimen keskitunnelin sisällä sijaitseva osa käsittää liitososan, ja tämän jälkeen keksintöä selostetaan tarkemmin kuvattuna viittaamalla tähän edulliseen sovel-lutusmuotoon. Liitososan kiinnittäminen mainitun tunnelin 5 päähän voidaan tehdä ruuvaamalla, kovajuottamalla tai hitsaamalla, ja jos halutaan, se voidaan muodostaa samaan aikaan kuin muuttimen muodostavien pitkänomaisten kaistaleiden päiden kovajuottaminen tai hitsaus.
Lisäksi värähtelijä voi käsittää sen pituussuunnas-10 sa olevan keskireiän, jolla on riittävän suuri halkaisija mahduttaakseen imemis- tai kastelunesteen kuljettamista varten olevan tuubin. Täten mainittu tuubi tulee värähtelijään muuttimen proksimaalisesta päästä ja ulottuu liitos osan keskiakselia pitkin ja toimintaelimen, esim. kirurgin 15 työkalun sisään, joka on kiinnitetty mainitun liitososan distaaliseen päähän.
Keksinnön mukainen edullinen värähtelijä on erityisen sopiva käytettäväksi kirurgin käsikappaleessa, joka käsittää kirurgin työkalun, joka on liitososan kautta yh-20 distetty ultraäänivärähtelijämuuttimeen. Tällaisessa laitteessa jäähdytysrivoilla ja keskitunnelilla varustetun magnetostriktiomuuttimen sisäsivu on yhdistetty mainitun tunnelin sisällä olevan liitososan proksimaaliseen päähän, joka liitososa muuntaa ultraäänitärinän, ja mainitun 25 liitososan distaalinen pää on kiinnitetty kirurgin työkalun proksimaaliseen päähän. Kirurgin työkalun muoto ja massa ovat sellaiset, että saavutetaan vahvistus, joka tekee työkalusta sopivan esim. kudoksen rikkomista varten. Tyypillinen kirurgin käsikappale, jossa muutin, liitososa 30 ja työkalu on kiinnitetty sarjaan päät vastakkain, on esitetty US-patentissa 4 223 676. Esillä olevan keksinnön mukaan valmistettu, resonaattorin sisältävä käsikappale, jossa liitososa sijaitsee muuttimen sisällä, on kompak-timpi kuin mainittu aikaisemman lajin käsikappale ja on 35 niin muodoin helpompi käsitellä ja ohjata.

Keksintöä selostetaan tarkemmin viittaamalla aikaisemman lajin käsikappaleeseen ja esillä olevan keksinnön edulliseen sovellutusmuotoon, jotka on kuvattu oheisissa piirustuksissa, joissa: 5 Kuvio 1 on kaavamainen sivuleikkaus ultraäänitoimi sesta resonanssivärähtelijästä ja esittää aikaisemman lajin muuttimen, liitososan ja työkalun sijoittamista; kuvio 2 on sivupoikkileikkaus jäähdytysrivoilla varustetusta muuttimesta, jota käytetään esillä olevan 10 keksinnön mukaisessa värähtelijässä; kuvio 3 on poikkileikkaus kuvion 3 viivaa 3-3 pitkin; kuvio 4 on suurennettu poikkileikkaus V-muotoisesta pitkänomaisesta kaistaleesta, jota käytetään kuvion 2 15 muuttimessa; ja kuvio 5 on osittainen sivupoikkileikkaus ja osittainen sivukuva keksinnön ultraäänitoimisen resonanssivärähtely jän sisältävästä kirurgin käsikappaleen osasta.
Nyt viitataan piirustusten kuvioon 1, jossa tyypil-20 linen aikaisemman lajin ultraäänitoiminen resonanssiväräh telyjä käsittää muuttimen 1', joka on yhdistetty samassa linjassa liitososaan 2' ja kirurgin työkaluun 3'. 30 Mainittu kokonaispituus pienenee huomattavasti muo dostamalla esillä olevan keksinnön mukainen taitettu resonaattori. Värähtelijän pituus on yhtä suuri kuin yhdistävän osan ja työkalun yhdistelmä. Edullisen sovellutusmuodon mitat on annettu jäljempänä.
Jokaisen kaistaleen paksuus on noin 0,018 -0,025 cm.

Kiinnitys on tehty edullisesti kovajuottamalla tai hitsaamalla. Edullisessa sovellu-tusmuodossa kiinnitys 6 on päätyrengas, joka on valmistet-25 tu sopivasta metallista, esimerkiksi ruostumattomasta teräksestä, kovajuotettu tai hitsattu jäähdytysrivoilla varustettuun pylvääseen ja siinä on sisäpuolinen ruuvikier-teitys, jolla on noin 0,953 cm sisäpuolinen halkaisija. 5 Tunnelin 8 halkaisija on riittävä mahduttaakseen sopivan liitososan, ja tällaisen sovellutuksen sisältävä edullinen sovellutus on esitetty kuviossa 5.
Kuvio 5 esittää kaavamaisesti ultraäänitoimista resonanssivärähtelijää, joka käsittää jäähdytysrivoilla 10 varustetun magnetostriktiomuuttimen 1, jossa jokainen jäähdytysrivan muodostava pitkänomainen kaistale on kova-juotettu tai hitsattu päätyrenkaaseen 6 proksimaalisesta päästä ja päätyrenkaaseen 7 distaalisesta päästä. Mainitun työkalun distaalisessa päässä on kärki 14 kudoksen rikkomista 35 varten. Tässä sovellutuksessa liitososan 2 ja kirurgin työkalun 3 yhdistelmä voi muodostaa resonoivan elimen.

Kuvattua tyyppiä oleva lyhyempi kirurgin käsikap-pale, joka sisältää keksinnön mukaisen taitetun resonaattorin, on vähemmän hankala ja mukavampi käyttää kuin aikaisemman lajin pitkät käsikappaleet. Lisäksi on huomattu 5 että keksinnön mukaisen jäähdytysrivoilla varustetun muut-timen sisältävä käsikappale vaatii vähemmän syöttövoimaa kuin tavanomaista lajia olevan laminoidun muutinlevypake-tin sisältävä käsikappale, mikä tarkoittaa lisäetua keksinnön taitetulle resonaattorille. Claims (7)
1. Ultraäänitoiminen resonanssivärähtelyjä, joka käsittää resonanssielimen (2), jossa on proksimaalinen pää 5 ja distaalinen pää ja ultraäänivärähtelymuuttimen (1), jossa on keskitunneli (8), jolloin ainakin osa resonans-sielimestä (2) sijaitsee tunnelissa (8), tunnettu siitä, että muutin (1) on magnetostriktiomuutin ultraääni-värähtelyjen synnyttämiseksi, jotka siirretään muuttimesta 10 (1) resonanssielimeen (2), että muutin (1) käsittää useita pitkänomaisia kaistaleita (4) magnetostriktiomateriaalis-ta, jolloin jokaisessa kaistaleessa on proksimaalinen pää (6) ja distaalinen pää (7), jokaisen kaistaleen ollessa poikkileikkaukseltaan olennaisesti V-muotoinen ja V:n mo-15 lempien haarojen ollessa muodostettu kaistaleen pituussuuntaisesta osasta, ja jokainen kaistale on kiinnitetty viereiseen kaistaleeseen molemmista päistä samaa kokonaisuutta olevan olennaisesti jäykän pylvään (1) muodostamiseksi, jossa pylväässä on keskiakseli varustettuna kaista-20 leista (4) muodostetuilla jäähdytysrivoilla, jotka ulkonevat säteittäisesti mainitusta akselista, ja jossa pylväässä on keskireikä, joka määrittelee keskitunnelin (8), jolloin resonanssielimen (2) proksimaalinen pää on kiinnitetty tunnelin sisäpuoliseen päähän.
2. Patenttivaatimuksen 1 mukainen värähtelijä, tunnettu siitä, että resonanssielin käsittää liitososan (2), jossa on proksimaalinen pää ja distaalinen pää, jolloin proksimaalinen pää vastaa resonanssielimen proksimaalista päätä (6) ja distaalinen pää on tarkoitettu 30 yhdistettäväksi toimintaelimeen (3).
3. Patenttivaatimuksen 1 mukainen värähtelijä, tunnettu siitä, että keskitunneli (8) on olennaisesti ympyrämäinen poikkileikkaukseltaan.
4. Patenttivaatimuksen 1, 2 tai 3 mukainen värähte-35 lijä, tunnettu siitä, että kaistaleen päiden (6, 12 96825 7. kiinnitys kunkin viereisen kaistaleen päihin on tehty kovajuottamalla tai hitsaamalla.
5. Jonkin edellisen patenttivaatimuksen mukainen värähtelijä, tunnettu siitä, että jokaisen V-muo- 5 toisen kaistaleen (4) kumpikin haara on koskettavassa kytkennässä välittömästi viereisen kaistaleen haaran kanssa kaistaleen täyttä pituussuuntaista pituutta pitkin säteit-täisesti ulottuvan jäähdytysrivan muodostamiseksi ja että tuloksena olevat jäähdytysrivat säteittäisestä mallista 10 keskitunnelin (8) ympärillä ulottuvat tuloksena olevan olennaisesti jäykän pylvään (1) pituudelle.
6. Patenttivaatimuksen 2 mukainen värähtelijä, tunnettu siitä, että toimintaelin (3) on kirurgin työkalu.
7. Patenttivaatimuksen 2 tai 6 mukainen värähteli jä, tunnettu siitä, että liitososa (2) käsittää sen pituussuuntaisen keskireiän, jonka halkaisija on riittävän suuri mahduttaakseen sisäänsä kuljetusnestettä varten olevan tuubin (9). 13 96825
