Claims (13)
1. Förfarande att elektriskt smälta icke-metalliskt material, i synnerhet i samband med tillverkning av 5 mineralullsfibrer, vid vilket icke-metalliskt material placeras i en degel (22), nämnda material upphettas pä elektrisk väg tills det har smält och vid vilket smält material (90) som är avsett för efterföljande omvandling till mineralullsfibrer avlägsnas frän degeln genom en 10 öppning (100) intill dess nedre ände under det att material-et kontinuerligt upphettas, kännetecknat därav, att man utnyttjar en med kol (80) fodrad degel och att atmosfären inuti degeln kontrolleras kontinuerligt genom avlägsnande av gaser därifrän vilka är skadliga för fodret 15 (80).
2. Förfarande enligt patentkravet 1, kännetecknat därav, att den kontinuerliga kontrollen av atmosfären inbegriper utbyte av atmosfären inuti degeln mot en inert gas. 20
3. Förfarande enligt patentkravet 2, känne tecknat därav, att atmosfären inuti degeln först evakueras innan degeln fylls med en inert gas.
4. Förfarande enligt patentkravet 1, kännetecknat därav, att den elektriska upphettningen 25 inbegriper upphettning av materialet med hjälp av ätminstone en kolelektrod (120) utsträckt in i degelns inre.
5. Förfarande enligt patentkravet 4, kännetecknat därav, att den elektriska upphettningen 30 inbegriper upphettning av materialet genom ledning av en elektrisk ström därigenom.
6. Förfarande enligt patentkravet 1, kännetecknat därav, att atmosfärsgaser förhindras frän att träda in i degelns inre när material placeras däri.
