EN LA PARTE INFERIOR DE LA CAMARA SE DISPONE UN ORIFICIO (9) DE SANGRADO Y EN EL INTERIOR DE LA MISMA UN CIERRE (6). CUANDO SE INCLINA EL HORNO, EL CIERRE ATRAVIESA LA CAPA DE ESCORIA Y FLOTA SOBRE LA SUPERFICIE DEL MATERIAL FUNDIDO, EVACUANDOSE ESTE A TRAVES DEL ORIFICIO. CUANDO TODO EL MATERIAL HA SALIDO, EL CIERRE TAPONA EL ORIFICIO Y, MEDIANTE UN DISPOSITIVO EXTERIOR, QUE LEVANTE UN VASTAGO (7) SOLIDARIO AL CIERRE, SE LEVANTA ESTE, PERMITIENDO EL SANGRADO DE LA ESCORIA.
