Abstract

A lining (32) for a container used to store weedkiller or foodstuffs is produced from a web of lining material which is longitudinally folded in two. The adjacent facing edge regions are sealed and the web is then cut transversely into individual lining sleeves for the containers. The lining web may be of paper coated on one side with sealable material. The lining may be glued to a blank (30) erectible into the container so that the seam lies on a panel which is folded over in the subsequent erection of the blank to a layflat condition.
