SE PUEDE AUMENTAR EL RENDIMIENTO DE TIOFENO Y DISMINUIR LA CANTIDAD PRODUCIDA DE TIOETERES AROMATICOS Y DISULFURO DED EFINILO, COMO SUBPRODUCTOS, MEDIANTE REACCION EN PRESENCIA DE HIDROGENO. LA REACCION SE EFECTUA A UNA TEMPERATURA COMPRENDIDA ENTRE 400 Y 600GC. SE UTILIZA PARA LA REACCION UN CATALIZADOR ADECUADO PARA QUE SEA EFICAZ. ESTE COMPUESTO SE APLICA COMO ADITIVOS EN ACEITES LUBRICANTES, COMO INSECTICIDA, COMO FUNGICIDA Y PARASITICIDA, Y TAMBIEN TIENE APLICACION EN LA PREPARACION DE RESINAS SINTETICAS. E
