Abstract

The central stem (E), whose upper part is identical to that of monohulls, has a lower part which, due to the relationships between the width of the principle frames and the forms of the water lines of the submerged rear part of the stem and the lateral hulls, causes the stem (E) to disappear. The keel of the latter, with a tapered profile, rises into a join between the lateral hulls when the lateral hulls have reached their greatest width. Two non-parallel arches (V1, V2) on either side of the stem join together behind the latter in a single arch which continues as far as the rear. The lower rear part of the stem can receive mechanical steering and propulsion elements.
