Abstract

Procedimiento de fabricación de bandas compuestas por colada continua, mediante el chapeado de una banda de espesor comprendido entre 0,1 y 1 mm de un metal que presenta una resistencia mecánica y un punto de fusión sensiblemente más elevado que el aluminio, sobre una cara al menos de una banda de aluminio o de aleación de aluminio de un espesor comprendido entre 1,5 y 20 nm, por colada continua del aluminio entre cilindros paralelos espaciados, mediante una tobera de perfil aplastado de anchura igual a la banda a colar, dispuesta cerca de los cilindros, interponiéndose la banda a chapear entre él o los cilindros y el aluminio y el aluminio líquido, caracterizado porque, la banda de metal de chapeado se pone en contacto con el cilindro en al menos la porción comprendida entre la generatriz más próxima de la extremidad de la tobera y la generatriz situada en el plano de los ejes de los cilindros y, preferentemente, en un arco de contacto superior a 30º; la tolerancia o juego entre la toberay el cilindro que arrastre el metal de chapeado es inferior al espesor de la banda aumentado 1 mm; la velocidad de colada es tal que el alargamiento del metal de chapeado es superior a 1 % e inferior al del aluminio una vez solidificado.
