Abstract

Se forma un cojinete de flecha a partir de una aleacion de aluminio que tiene aproximadamente 8% de Sn, 2.5% de Si, 2% de Pb, 0.8% de Cu y 0.2% de Cr sobre una base de porcentaje en peso. El estaño tiene un tamaño de partícula promedio menor de 5 micrones y el silicio tiene un tamaño de partícula promedio menor de 5 micrones. La aleacion puede formarse hacia una tira solida continua mediante una operacion de moldeo por enfriamiento rápido, en donde la aleacion fundida se alimenta hacia una interfaz entre dos rodillos internamente enfriados para congelar la aleacion hacia una condicion de tira solida en menos de un segundo. La tira de aleacion de aluminio puede ligarse a presion a una tira de refuerzo de acero para formar una tira compuesta util para formar un cojinete de flecha.
