Abstract

Procedimiento para preparar hidantoinas, de fórmula: **(Fórmula 01)** en la que Ar es fenilo opcionalmente sustituido por hasta 3 radiales elegidos entre alcoxi C1-6, halógeno, 1,3-dioxol¿2- ilo, hidroxialcoxi C1-4-alquilo C1-4, fenilo, hidroxilo, nitrilo, haloalquilo C1-4, alquilo C1-4, alquiniloxi C2-4, alcoxicarbonilo C1-4 o fenoxi opcionalmente sustituido por haloalquilo C1-4, alcoxi C1-4 ó halógeno; o es tiofeno opcionalmente sustituido por fenilo o por 1 ó 2 grupos alquilo C1-4; R1 y R2 son independientemente hidrógeno o juntos representan un enlace químico; R3 es hidrógeno, alquilo C1-6 ó alquenilo C2-4; y R4 es alquilo C1-6, alquinilo C2-4, fenilo o bencilo; a condición de que R3 no puede ser hidrógeno cuando Ar es fenilo insustituido y R4 es n-butilo; caracterizado porque comprende: (a) reaccionar un compuesto de fórmula: **(Fórmula 02)** con un aldehido de fórmula ArCHO para dar un compuesto de fórmula I en donde R1 y R2 representan un enlace químico; o (b) reducir un compuesto de fórmula I en donde R1 y R2 representan un enlace químico para dar un compuesto de fórmula I en donde R1 y R2 son hidrógeno; o (c) reaccionar un compuesto de fórmula: **(Fórmula 03)** con un isocianato de fórmula R4NCO para dar un compuesto de fórmula I en donde R1 y R2 son hidrógeno.
