Abstract

1. Una instalación mejorada de calentamiento por energía solar para calefacción, generación de corriente eléctrica y otras aplicaciones, cuya instalación incluye un calentador solar de aire, medios para hacer pasar un gas a calentar a través de dicho calentador solar de aire y para dirigir el gas caliente al espacio a calentar, un dispositivo de almacenamiento para almacenar calor durante un período prolongado de tiempo, medios para desviar periódicamente dicho gas caliente fuera de dicho espacio y a dicho dispositivo de almacenamiento cuando dicho espacio ha alcanzado una temperatura predeterminada y medios para dirigir periódicamente el gas a calentar a través de dicho dispositivo de almacenamiento para calentar dicho gas y después dirigir dicho gas caliente a dicho espacio; consistiendo la mejora en que dicho calentador solar de aire comprende, en combinación: un alojamiento que tiene una pared delantera de transmisión de luz para dejar pasar la radiación solar incidente y que incluye una entrada y una salida para establecer una trayectoria de flujo para un medio gaseoso a calentar; un elemento colector absorbente de la radiación, permeable al gas, que está situado a través de la trayectoria de flujo en dicho alojamiento y dispuesto para recibir radiación solar incidente que pasa a través de dicha pared delantera y para transferir el calor absorbido a dicho medio gaseoso que pasa a lo largo de dicha trayectoria de flujo y a través de dicho elemento colector; y una trampa de radiación dispuesta en dicho alojamiento junto a la superficie de dicho elemento colector vuelta hacia dicha pared delantera, estando dicha trampa de radiación compuesta de un material de transmisión de luz que es opaco a la radiación infrarroja emitida desde dicho elemento colector en dirección a dicha pared delantera.
